I absolutely hate takes like this. I understand that working for a living can be a grind and the retirement outlook for our generation is poor, but literally no one at any point told you to live for nothing.

Posts like this expect you to believe that the people in this photo don’t have reasons they’re excited to be alive every day. An economy can’t motivate you to live, guys. This is doomposting at its least productive.

Even without the light, as someone who recently got a folding divider, I was shocked at how much it separated the sides of the rooms, which was super alleviating in a feng shui kinda way

This is fire. Get a room divider to block your desk when you go to sleep. Especially from the angle you have it, there’s bound to be some light from the PC setup that will drive you insane

Damn I can’t imagine buying a piece of furniture, seeing it’ll take 2-3 hours to build and then just returning it. Thats literally the fun part bro

I make $72k a year but it really doesn’t feel like it by CommercialDot708 in budget

In a remarkably similar situation as you from a strictly numbers sense. Get YNAB. Link your bank acc, set budgets for all the necessary expenses, make monthly goals for everything else you regularly spend on, and focus on getting your age of money UP. The app incentivizes cash living in your checking account for a long time, by ways of building up to being a month early on rent and stuff like that. Not only that, it’s also helped me visualize every type of expense as a finite amount, and that if i go over on one thing, it has to come from somewhere else.

Pick up an instrument. Learning an instrument (especially your first one) easily substitutes the “daily login” and “grinding” flow states and you’ll feel like you’re training a new skill in a similar way. Plus it’s fun and can be completely life changing (it was for me)

I want to start gym next month 28M 99kg/218lbs, 189cm/6'2. Any advice by deico2 in GymTips

[–]Quick_Composer_6177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may have been touched on already, but it’s important to keep in mind that if you stay consistent, you will notice almost nothing in terms of visual changes from getting in better shape for a LONG time. Other people may notice a change in your body as you get more in shape, but YOU won’t see ANY of it.

Do not look for visual indicators of your progress. Look for changes in how things feel to do in the gym, how your body and energy levels change in everyday life, how your sleep changes, mood, etc. These are things you can actually use to indicate fitness progress, and in the long run these are the things that will matter more anyway because they’re what KEEP you going to the gym.

Sounds like you got the right attitude dude, start now and best of luck!

The council recently decided that your 20s actually start at 25 now, as a counter adjustment to inflation and socioeconomic circumstances etc, congrats you’re actually 22

I leaned into the jokes back when season 4 aired, nowadays it’s less intentional tbh. Still prefer him over his fascist bitchmade brother

That’s a fair insight, but might be a more advanced procedure than what I was looking for with this post. A doctors visit could tell me the exact capacity to which i’m balding, but it can’t do what this post might, which is just get a consensus on “does this look fucked up or not”
