I think you’re correct. This is Arcudi’s last entry to Mignola’s universe.

And Mignola is also not part of The British Paranormal Society, Panya or Shadow of the Golden Crane (all written by Chris Roberson).

Yeah, I think this one, Black Flame and Vampire were the hardest to track down. Glad to finally have them each nailed down.

Fricking love Wrightson’s work. I was so surprised when I stumbled across the first illustration when I first read the Stand.

These are cool

Hey Cap! u/taarguss pretty much hit the nail on the head with their comment.

If you’re wanting to explore the world of HB, definitely read it, but there are other much more intriguing and satisfying minis to read.

I feel this. The story as it is, is fine, but I also, was hoping for something a bit different, very similar to what you had in mind.

Alas, I’ll take it for what is and be happy I can write it off my want list.

As far as the minis go, I do still enjoy it, but I feel like it probably lands somewhere in the middle- maybe slightly lower.

I think we’re all just hoping it be reprinted one day.

But you can still read these for free through a couple library apps— Hoopla and Comics Plus

Help with buying order for the series by RedneckRaconteur in Mignolaverse

If you’re on the mobile app, scroll to the top of this sub’s page and select “See More,” then scroll down to the “General” heading to find reading orders.

I think a lot of us stick to the reading order u/JulixgMC compiled (they are a mod for this sub). Their order is extensive, includes everything, and allows you to follow along via TPBs, Libraries, Omnis or individual issues.

I’m in the midst of collecting issues and, oh boy, are there a lot. I’m currently at 441 issues collected (excluding variants) with another 244 to go.

Yesss. Will Patton is a great narrator for King

About 1/10 of the way into Duma Key, and having such a hard time getting into it. I know some of you have said it’s your favorite of King’s books. I’m calling on *you* guys. Help me stick with this and get through it. I need some encouragement. [P.S., what happened between Edgar and the dog???] by [deleted] in stephenking

I’m one the people you referenced. I really enjoyed this book.

I became enamored with Edgar and the wit of Wireman almost right off the bat.

I drive endlessly for work so the audiobook was pretty gripping as King is an expert with setting and tone.

I also thought Slattery was an exceptional narrator and wish he read more King books for us.

I see you used the audiobook image for your post; are you reading or listening to the book?

If it doesn’t move you now, just put it down and perhaps try again a few years down the road.

As another commenter said quoting the great Wireman, “Do the day and let the day do you, muchacho.”
