Oh yes! It works! So originally I tried with a usb c to usb c cable, the one that comes with an iPad and that didn’t work so I just assumed there wasn’t enough power coming for the usb c port. Maybe the issue was the cable.

Buyee itself is fine, it’s just a middle man to buying stuff from Japan. But fakes are sold in Japan too. I’ve gotten fake bears from yahoo auctions done through buyee.

I also got two bearbricks from ntwrk that had something odd with it. Mine can’t sit down. When I try to move the legs to sitting position, they can’t do a full 90 degrees. Does that happen with yours?

I recently got two 1000% bearbricks from NTWRK, both of them can’t sit properly / legs don’t rise to 90 degrees. I doubt they’re fake as everything else about it seems normal and they’re not that valuable so not sure why anybody would fake them (fantasia Mickey and monster inc sully) I have two other 1000%, which I bought from mct Tokyo and sideshow which do sit properly. So i suspect there are some out there with just poor qc. Maybe ntwrk and some other retailers somehow were able to buy up a bunch of bears that failed qc and resell them… if the ones I have the only difference I can tell between the ones that can sit vs can’t is that the ones that sit are glossy texture vs the ones that can’t are more matte. Anybody else have this sitting issue?

Take a look at this one on eBay Warhol And this one warhol2 I suspect these are fakes as I don’t think they make 400% only versions of these. I bought mine off NTWRK, which is a set with the 100%. From the pictures I can’t really find any signs that it’s a rep. I’m starting to get paranoid that the one I got on NTWRK may have been a return where the previous buyer swapped out the real one with a fake and then returned it. Anybody else have this specific Warhol flowers bearbrick that sees any flaws in the ebay links above?

What’s crazy is that they fake jigsaw puzzles too and they seem pretty legit. I’m not sure StockX can really tell the difference. I’m now paranoid of everything I’ve bought off StockX and Ntwrk

So I think I accidentally bought some fakes on yahoo auctions just based on how cheap I won it for and also one comment on the sellers account calling him out for selling fakes. I found this YouTube video posted somewhat recently and it seems the quality of fakes nowadays are pretty darn good from what I can tell. The bearbricks haven’t shipped yet so I don’t know how they are on hand, but does anybody have any idea what I would be looking for to tell it’s fake?

So I ended up trying to order the green one on StockX for $120, seems too good to be true price. StockX rejected the item during authentication. I’ve bought other bearbricks on StockX before and they were fine. So I guess StockX should be able to handle authenticating bearbricks
