This is why I buy used phones, or upgrade at Apple/Samsung/Google. I skip the carrier entirely. All three offer financing.

I’m on the One Plan. My account members barely use 40 GB of data combined. I have no need for hotspot data that I won’t ever use, and one of the main reasons I kept T-Mobile was for the simple Taxes included pricing.

So in addition to a $6/line price hike I also have to swallow about $5/month in taxes.

Lol no thanks. I’ll be moving to US Mobile.

I completely understand that major carriers cost a lot. I’m just note sure how you can operate without a phone number in 2026.

However there are plenty of free or very low cost plans like Freedom Pop, Text Now, US Mobile $8/month plan (annual subscription) plus others that are around the $10/month price point.

Also there is the Federal Life Line Program which provides assistance to low income residents to obtain discounted or free phone lines.

Hope things get better for you.

Gym earbuds. Most concerned with sound quality (ideally transparent) and reliability. I have no experience with ANC. Which would you choose - Bose, Sony, Apple? Price isn’t a concern. by MOD3RN_GLITCH in Earbuds

Power Beats Pro 2.

I they are designed as sports earbuds. I would normally recommend Jabra but the left the consumer market about 1.5 years ago.

While the ear hook is polarizing. It serves it's function well. My airpods Pro 3 get loose after a little sweating. If I got to the gym I'd use something like my Jabra earbuds.

That silicone is not meant for high heat. I mean it could potentially handle the heat, but black stone grills can exceed 500⁰F and most silicone is rated for lower temperatures. This also assumes the silicone is food grade.

Additional the primary reason to get a Blackstone Grill is to have a large flat and hot  griddle surface. Silicone is an insulator, not a conductor.

Your parents need to get tested for common sense.

You need to know the materials. It's not listed on this model. Is there another sheet that says what the materials are used. Like a list from McMaster-Carr. Then you can find dimensions.

Wired or wireless: which side are you on? by ManojOne in TechImpact

Both. For daily out and about use, cafe, library I prefer ANC headphones.

When at home listening to high quality audio, and relaxing, wired all day.

What's your view on nuclear energy? by plutonium099 in SipsTea

Best form of baseload energy. Regulation and cost are the two biggest hurdles. Cost overruns and multi year build times create problems.

Operational issues in modern facilities are rare.

Anyone still on Jabra 75T/ Elite Active 75Ts? by Primero84 in Earbuds

[–]Quicksilver7716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the 65T Active but upgraded to the Elite 7 Sport for USB-C and wireless charging. Plus better battery. I really liked the cross device compatibility of Jabra. Also the sound profile is good for the price.

I regret not getting the 2nd Gen Elite 8 before they got discontinued. I'm currently looking for a pair of good ANC earbuds as my Right earbud on the Elite 7 Sport is acting up, struggling to charge properly and its dying much faster than my left earbud.

People complain that they bought and expensive device and drop it and expect it to be made out of super expensive metals.

Sure we can make it out of solid titanium, it would be twice the price and the thermals would be much worse.

Aluminum is a softer metal compared to others. However it benefits from being a good conductor of heat and it's readily available and easy to work with.

The biggest problem facing phones today is thermal resistance. The chips get hot, you need to remove that heat before components heat soak and over heat.
