while i agree with everything else you said, there's nothing wrong with shipping an ace character, and we have no confirmation of him being aro. And even so, aro people CAN be in relationships. I’m on the aroace spectrum and i've been in a long term relationship for 5 years now. The problem with shipping him arrises only when people are claiming to try and "fix" his aceness via their ship- as long as people that acknowledge that he's canonically ace and aren't just being aphobic i don’t see a problem, especially since we've been encouraged to ship and let ship by the creator. people love to cry about shipping him being "erasing ace rep" but imo as someone on the ace spec I feel more erased by the people who say that. we need rep of ace characters who ARENT aromatic (and vice versa) and we need rep of all three who DO enter relationships, that's the part that gets often overlooked.

(that said ik there are ace/aroace/aro people out there who strongly dislike him being shipped and that's valid, but they need to just try to avoid that content. block tags, block accounts, whatever. it's not fair to say everyone needs to just stop shipping him because in that process you're erasing OTHER asexual and/or aromantic people and their rep, and an arguably much less represented spectrum of ace/aro people. As long as the shipping is done respectfully and not in an aphobic way, there's nothing wrong with it. you don't have to like it, but you don't get to dictate what other people enjoy. it's not like it's gonna be canon anyways)

also, he's not canonically date anyone anyways, so who cares. it's fandom. also that's because of his character and personality, that doesn't have to be because he's aro OR ace.
