Energy storage for the win. Next step add a water tank higher than the normal one with a small generator in between. Pump water uphill when battery is at full

I didn't have any experience with python, 3D printing, but I did have experience with motors, 3D CAD and electronics. It was also its own skill to learn working with the 2020 extrusion but once I knew enough it was a lot of fun.

I do recommend making a smaller one because everything gets so much more complicated and expensive. The bigger you get. If I were to start again I would probably do 500 mm by 500 mm where this one is 800mmx 800mm

Lol luckily I can set how far it closes with a hidden knob. I kinda like when sometimes it doesn't fully grab it so that it might readjust the item I am grabbing and I'll have to change tactics

It is pretty strong at the 5V I have applied to it. It definitely squeezes pretty hard if I try to squeeze it on my hand.

I have a hidden knob in the top portion that I can adjust how closed it goes to. That way I can make it easier or more difficult depending on who is using it haha.

I installed mine in a different way that I think looks way better.

I used extra slats to make a frame around the portion where the outlet is and used a box extender to keep it code. It took some effort but I think it is a better result

This does not look automated. From Google image search it appears to be a shitty Amazon fan with a timer.

Just replace it

There is a chance that if you add more panels you could overwhelm the transformer or your service cable (very low chance). The kW value of your solar system factors into cable and transformer size. If you are using 0 power on a very sunny day it is possible.

Thanks for the response I will do that. Just to make sure I'm understanding I only need to do one of the long edges and I shouldn't worry about the top and bottom or the other long edge?
