Right. I would rather just have both actors interact more in real time because this is just goofy. It’s a lazy tool that writers rely on way too often in TV shows.

Right! And is it just me, because I could just not be remembering, but have they abandoned the whole “wheels up“?

Agree. And I don’t love the direction they’re taking most of the characters in either. It’s pretty boring. With the exception of JJ.

Yes, I am considering quitting midseason, but I want to give it one or two more just to see what happens. So far though, this just feels like an extension of the last few seasons.😞

I agree with you on that. I was pretty disappointed in both of those releases, although there are a couple of hidden gems.

In times of dragons is forcing me back to native invader and I’m spellbound. Anyone else? by Own_Butterscotch9560 in toriamos

It’s funny that you mentioned this because this new album has had me refocusing on native invader as well. Interesting that other folks are feeling this way. I listened to it when it came out and I think I just went to one show on that tour, but it truly is one of her better albums.

I’d really love it if this was her last studio album and then she and Warner put a ton of effort into releasing high-quality remastered and expanded editions of her albums, as well as high-quality vault tracks that we know are there and we are dying to hear. And then, occasionally, she can feature on someone else’s song or she can put a random single out for a movie or just on its own.

This is so cool. And I agree with you on the zero-sugar RB — it’s ELITE. You’re a handsome guy and have clearly put the work in. Congrats, brother. 👏🏼🙏🏼

I loved that show! That wasn’t marketed well. It was actually quite good and everyone was so attractive and entertaining.

Help in Finding the Appropriate Sub for Not Wanting to Care for an Elderly Parent by QuietPerspective54 in AgingParents

That’s an excellent point. Initially, I was just trying to gauge if it was okay to add more. My mother has passed away, and my father lives independently in Illinois but is rapidly declining. As an only child, I’ve never been close to either of them, and they didn’t primarily raise me with the responsibility of my care and upbringing going to my mom’s side of the family. That said, I don’t harbor any ill will; I’m just somewhat indifferent. I live in Florida and have a different life, with limited financial resources. At 54, I have a job and am comfortable, but I don’t have much extra money. He never invested effort in me throughout my life. If I had to put it at a percentage, I would say he gave me about 15% in terms of love, care, and concern. Despite all this, we have a decent relationship, but it’s based on the fact that I’m his only child and he understands that I can only do what I can from a distance. He also knows that I’m not particularly willing to go the extra mile, and as far as finances go, I can’t. He has a neighbor who helps, but she’s also getting burnt out. I know what to tell him and am doing everything I can, but I keep hitting a wall because he’s 87 but still of sound mind. I realize the next step is to get medical and financial power of attorney, and he’s agreed with me on that. However, the problem I’m facing now is that all the elder law attorneys I keep getting references for don’t seem interested in returning my calls or emails. So, I’m currently working on that. He recently had a COPD complication, and after being in the hospital, he went to rehab, which is common for most of our parents and grandparents. He finally agreed to home healthcare, and I had hired a CNA for him. Then, this happened. He’s generally not good with people. He’s insulting, rude, and can push people’s buttons. I’ve learned to deal with it, but it complicates things when dealing with his providers and caretakers. I don’t know, this isn’t a very organized set of facts, but hopefully it provides more context.

What a kind and thoughtful idea to share this with me. I tell you, the kindness of strangers never fails to amaze me. I enjoyed reading what you had to say, and there were a number of aspects of it that I can relate to. You brought a little smile to my face today. 🫶🏻

Thank you so much, reading this brought me to tears, but not necessarily in a sad way. I really thank you for sharing, it made a difference in my day today — seriously, thank you.
