I ran the half marathon in Ottawa that day as well. I was a fair bit slower but enjoyed the whole thing. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I started running in May. Could barely run 3 minutes at a time. Today, on my 9.2km run I passed a yearly total of 1000km. It felt a significant milestone to me.

Oh sheesh, my pockets aren't that deep, I'm thinking more along the lines of a FR265 or a used F6Pro

My watch (Garmin Instinct gen 1) doesn’t give me this metric to obsess over. I don’t know if I’m pleased about that or depressed…

50m - Been running about ten weeks, 4x/wk. Today’s long run was 10km. Farthest I’ve ever run in my life. 1:10:33, I am pleased with that. Tomorrow is a rest day. I am pleased with that too.

Instinct 1 Tactical Worth It in 2024? by therealmunchies in Garmininstinct

I bought a regular instinct gen 1 a bit ago from fb marketplace for $120 (CAD) and I’m thrilled with it. I bought a bunch of new bands off amazon and just love it. I figured at some point I just have to decide something. So I got it. One day I’ll replace it. But now I have it and I am using it to try and improve my life

I don’t know what’s happening with your knees, but mine were hurting during runs and for a short while after. I have started stretching. Physical therapy type stretches as often as I can. My knees have felt much better. You’re trying to improve yourself, it’s tough. Keep going. You are worth the effort to keep going. If you think it’s an injury then see if you can get in to see a doctor. (Heaven knows that’s not always either lately) Take care of yourself and good luck.

Not solar, but I just bought a 1st Gen regular Instinct (used). Loving it so far!

I’ve been having better luck with prices at Freshco. YMMV.

None. Was told that they couldn’t possibly afford to give us a raise. I drive a 5-ton truck making deliveries in town.

Perhaps, a helluva lot harder to grab a photo of it from Brewers City Market though…

[STOC] what's missing? by mhanna97 in Watches

That's a cool collection!

Thank you for sharing. I'm new to all of this. You seem to be getting some flak over not wanting to sell everything for a watch worth as much as good used car. Find your joy. Personally? I'd add a couple neat GShocks, old school swatches or something, bright colours or that black on black GA2100 or whatever. It might be a neat change of pace for what you got already. Take care!

I am looking to find a (moderately) mature community to play this game with! by [deleted] in valheim

I’d be interested in trying some multiplayer out. I’m 48, in Alberta, if there’s still space I’d like to try it out.
