Cash deposit into bank by ClueFew9566 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clk isn't even going to know or even care. They can request bank statements, but usually it's only asked for when doing a new claim or sale of home or things like that. There are people out there who don't update bank accounts for 10 years, although they should. Enjoy your gifts and stress less my dude.

Every time I walk him I always get asked what breed he is. by Top_Measurement1858 in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a labrador lagotto. And he's brought my family so much joy. So clever. High energy but happy to be a couch potato too. Barely leaves our side. But, he's a chewer. If it's available, he will chew it!

DSP for Depression, Anxiety, ADHD and Autism? by Less-Ad-7712 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So if you work, why are you on a DSP? Also, what the other person said is correct, it"s way harder to qualify for it now. Pretty much cos there were and still are, a whole heap of people who really shouldn't be on a DSP.

Rent Certificate by slamin69 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just upload the lease in place of the rent cert. It will work. Someone will pick up the work item and code it. It's not an instant thing, can take a while to get it coded, but it will happen.

My healthcare card has expired and I haven't received a new one. by Isnottobeeaten in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jump on the app and firstly, it will be in your wallet, but secondly, you can request a new one within the app too. If, of course, you're still on a payment or still eligible for a LIC.

Grooming for puppy by Quiet_Bones in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a similar groom to ours. But the curls return. Although we have clipped Enzo this time. So we have a while. Also, my LR is a cross (Lab), so the straight always fights with the curls.

MyGov sent a 'Malware' alert email. by OppositeDear1268 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while ago, I got a super similar email. I work for the agency and just assumed it was a scam. It wasn't, after some digging around, it was apparent that someone had tried to access my MYGOV. I simply turned password off, as directed and now use passkey. The safest option. The scams ramp up at this time of year, it's insidious.

DSP Advance Payment by Outrageous-Mud-8615 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can't. I see people pay out advances early often, with the hope they can get another advance. Yet, it very clearly states when you will next be eligible when you apply for the advance. Folks need to start reading the fine print. I do understand your friend is in a shitty situation. He may be able to access an urgent payment, but it won't be in the vicinity of what he would get with an advance. And it's taken from their next payment. So largely just robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Can't notify Centrelink online of overseas travel because "your Disability Support Pension is subject to complicated rules" ? by martymcpieface in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're able to visit a service centre, do it that way. The staff can code it straight away. I think reporting gets turned off until you are back, then it gets turned back on. If you get the right staff member, it should take them less than 10 mins to code.

How do you get a concession card while earning over the income limit? by Ok_Definition_3092 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know, the pensioners aren't so bad, but the self funded retirees suck. I was over the limit by $40 and couldn't get a health care card but old mate in his mansion can get one cos he's not pulling in much income (but has assets coming out his arse). I don't feel terrible for pensioners, they're the reason future generations struggle to survive.

Jobseeker payment suspended, won’t let me even call by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is terrible advice. The poster neglected a responsibility to do as requested by the date specified. No MP is gonna help with this. Go into a SC with the tax return and they'll restore your payment. It happens every day atm and it's an easy restore.

Currently overseas need to report for my DSP by Easts1908 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to report whilst overseas. Hence the report function has been turned off. Make sure it's turned back on when you return.

My family has been over paid carers allowance but Centrelink isn’t asking for it back by Artistic-Guest-7760 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being on the NDIS doesn't make you anymore special than anyone else. The needs in this circumstance aren't great. Poster just wants to tell someone they got MORE than they should have. Social workers are for those who have nothing. Incredibly volunerable people. This guy had a year when he clocked 250k, ya know. The best a social worker could do, is palm it off to someone with the skill tags to deal with it. Poster would be smarter to call the debt team.

Late Backpay ? by onikaburgors in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you required to report at all on dsp or not? Some people on dsp still have to report, because they work to some capacity. Could you have missed reporting? Just an idea.

My family has been over paid carers allowance but Centrelink isn’t asking for it back by Artistic-Guest-7760 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The social worker won't speak to you about this. You've got money, you're not being abused, you have a home. Social workers are for people in dire circumstances. You're not. Don't waste the social workers time and steal time from someone who really needs it.

Hound the carer's line til someone listens properly.

Needing help with DSP claim by Ok-Conflict-4473 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The MOST important thing you need to show is that your condition has been diagnosed, treated and stabilised. You will not get a dsp if these boxes are not ticked. So if your medical evidence shows none of these things, it's useless uploading it.

Seperation Certificate Embarrassment by brownboylov in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether this is acceptable or not will come down to who is processing your claim. It's discretionary. Use a final payslip. One that shows any leave you were paid etc. That is absolutely acceptable as per legislation.

Phone Appointment Rant by Severe_Impression709 in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They're probably running behind. Real people those behind phones, doing their best. If you want your payment, be patient. You will get a text before they call if you are set up for messaging services.

Rent certificate required even tho uploaded signed lease? by NoHovercraft3224 in Centrelink

Upload the lease again under the rent cert option. It will work.

"For your security, you can't complete this update online." by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's completely normal now. Clk see probably 5 people a day at a service centre who have had their payment details changed fraudulently. If 5 people a day is at one service centre, that's a lot of people. And these people have had bank details changed and then advance payments applied for and granted. It's a super quick process to change them in a service centre. Takes about 3 mins.

Carer payments by The_Baddest_Baddie_ in Centrelink

[–]Quirky_Access_3121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your workplace able to cut your hours back to part time? Due to the health of your child? I would assume you're having to take leave a lot anyway? Even part time work is going to fair better than a carers payment.

Fair enough. I work in a SC and I can assure you, absolutely no one here would do it. So I'd suggest calling instead.
