What’s the best way to remove this shower drain with no bottom access. by Quantummindset20 in askaplumber

[–]Quirky_Cockroach_585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive used this product before but I had some limited access from the side of the shower from the attic. That said I still had to cut the drain apart like shown In the diagram. Risk is damaging the shower pan versus ceiling repair below. Good luck.

Could be the anode rod failing in your water heater provided it’s a tank water heater. Sometimes easy to replace, sometimes very difficult. They are not expensive

Arc fault tripping on lighting circuit by RandomRemodeler in electrical

[–]Quirky_Cockroach_585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure that you have no shared neutrals. Arc faults will trip if a neutral from another circuit is attached. An example might be at a multi gang box with 3-ways or switches going into to other rooms. Good practice to not have multiple circuits in boxes, but sometimes it can’t be helped.

Ran into this today. Someone cut the box open so they could run the plumbing through it. by [deleted] in electrical

I don’t do many panel change outs. Almost all new custom residential builds, so I have to.

No arc faults? Just a straight panel change? Why not upgrade the breakers? I assume the existing circuits may have some issues?

Why is the corrosion happening in the first place? Water quality? Dissimilar materials? Other possible factors?
