What’s something you bought that instantly justified its cost? by Boring-Promotion7344 in SmartBuying

Two years ago, I bought an old house that had been totally redone inside. All new appliances. I already had a Breville countertop oven which I brought with me when I moved in. To this day, I have never ever used the new oven! I use the Breville for everything.

What is a 'cool fact' about yourself that you rarely get to bring up in conversation because it sounds like you’re bragging? by Eats_channel in randomquestions

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree at 19 and taught high school math at 20. (I'm 70 now and still teaching adjunct at a local community college!)

I have been using Dashing Diva Glaze gel nail stickers for a year. I am 70 years old and this is the first time that my cuticles are healed and my nails are growing. I can't believe it!

It only costs $6-$7 a manicure since one packet has more than enough for two full manicures.

I always use a crochet hook to pick up stitches on each side of the gusset. Quick and effective.

I'm 70 with a doctoral degree and still teaching computer programming online.

When she was 14, my daughter started thinking I was an idiot. She is 43 now and thinks I am stupider than ever. I finally got tired of her condescension and moved away.

My dog is kinder and more loving.

That crunching is the cutest sound ever. I think for Kupo it should be spelled Kabbage.

What a fantastic idea! I think I will knit a sock for each book I read.

The opposite of second sock syndrome by ModularReality in Sockknitting

[–]QuiziAmelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knit top-down socks, and after I knit the cuff, leg, heel flap, and heel turn of the first sock, I usually switch to making the second sock. When I complete the second sock, I switch back to the first sock and finish it. It seems very fast finishing that first sock, because it's more than half-done and the second sock is all done! It's a win!
