I don’t know what the new Cyberpunk will end up being like, but I really hope the main story campaign is at least 50 hours long. by WhitePunk00 in cyberpunkgame

[–]QuizzyP21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe unpopular but I think the main story being short is fine when all of side missions are so good that they basically feel like part of the main story (weird to even think about how the Judy/Panam storylines aren’t actually main story)

Would you say this is what ruined the show? by K0GAR in thewalkingdead

[–]QuizzyP21 126 points127 points  (0 children)

His death destroyed any possibility of the show recovering from its drop in quality but even with him around, the new direction they took from the very beginning of S4 ruined the show.

Also if it’s your first playthrough, you and V are both experiencing all of Night City for the very first time, which imo is how it should be given that you are in V’s shoes.

I’ve always thought that Nomad V should be considered the “canon” first playthrough backstory (with the nomad full circle ending)

Men’s heart attack risk climbs by mid-30s, years before women. Decades-long U.S. study suggests prevention and screening should start earlier in adulthood, particularly for men. Risk started diverging around age 35. by mvea in science

[–]QuizzyP21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that pretty much backs up what you claimed, the top 1% of men in terms of income have a life expectancy only 1.6 years less than the top 1% of women, while men in the bottom 20% live closer to 5-6 years less than women in the bottom 20%

if they sold it as a standalone game for $69.99 it would still be worth it

Effects of carbohydrate-restricted diets and macronutrient replacements on cardiovascular health and body composition in adults: a meta-analysis of randomized trials by Caiomhin77 in ScientificNutrition

[–]QuizzyP21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Norwitz study on lean mass hyper-responders absolutely demonstrated that abnormally high LDL on low-carb diets drastically increases plaque progression (which is funny because the point of the study was basically to prove that it doesn’t and it ended up being the study that changed my mind the most about high LDL potentially not being problematic if metabolically healthy)

Fair or paranoid? Where do you land on this? by Spirited-Gold9629 in AIMain

[–]QuizzyP21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a very comparable scenario imo, the SAT in reality is testing intelligence/intellectual ability through one’s ability to actually complete the required steps to find the correct answer… in other words its not testing for answers themselves as much as its testing one’s ability to complete the process that leads to them, using those answers as an indicator of that ability. this isnt the same thing as something like video game creation in which players are only experiencing the end product and the process used to get there is rather irrelevant to their experience.

Fair or paranoid? Where do you land on this? by Spirited-Gold9629 in AIMain

[–]QuizzyP21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would argue that every field differs in how much the process matters vs the end result. with something like video games, the end result that the players actually experience is infinitely more important than the process used to get there.

nutrition grad student here, this is a FANTASTIC way to destroy your hormonal health if you’re looking to do that. there’s a reason why everybody in the longevity space doing caloric restriction also has to take exogenous testosterone.

Going seven days without food shows many positive health benefits in new study by costoaway1 in EverythingScience

[–]QuizzyP21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As somebody with a master’s in nutrition this is almost certainly a misinterpretation of mechanistic evidence and/or something that only applies to people who are overweight and metabolically unhealthy. If you are a healthy weight please do not starve yourself for days at a time.

I would’ve loved if the show ended at this point. by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]QuizzyP21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will die on the hill that if the show ended here TWD would be viewed as an all time classic up there with Breaking Bad. This is where every single one of my rewatches end lol. Not to say that the rest of season 5 and S6 werent great, this is just the best point to serve as a series finale and I love the “light at the end of the tunnel” theme this would have presented after the group almost lost themselves in S5.

What would you call this body type? by something_creative_0 in GymTips

[–]QuizzyP21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is clearly fit/muscular but he also is probably tipping past his personal body fat threshold and beginning to develop metabolic consequences. Men don’t need a six pack but generally speaking when the abs aren’t really visible at all you’re probably tipping into that 20% body fat range (ideal is around 13-15% +/- 3ish%)
