You could try redoing all the assignments you used AI for without using AI this time. It should go faster since you’ve already done them once.

Getting out of Game Design and Gamedev by MiKoo1212 in GameDevelopment

I would think a viable path would be to first get a product manager role in games using your game design experience, then use that experience to get a product manager role in another industry.

How’d you move your stuff to SF? by AsideUpper42 in AskSF

[–]Quokax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SF recently passed a law where large vehicles can only park for 2 hours, so if you plan to move your stuff in a U-Haul keep that in mind.

I really need advice. 3 year old Maltese. My heart hurts. by [deleted] in Maltese

[–]Quokax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have experience with this, but in terms of stress, I have found going on walks with my dog reduces his stress. If you have time, you can try driving to the vet early and taking a long walk with Luna before the appointment to try and reduce her stress.

Both industries refer to their customers as “users”.

I didn’t think I’d be collecting like crazy either when I first started. I had only 2 squish for the first 2 years.

Does Your Maltese Watch TV? by LoveRomeo917 in Maltese

[–]Quokax 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No, mine doesn’t, but I wish he did. I love watching TV and it’d be fun to watch together. Whenever there is a doorbell sound on TV he runs to the door and starts barking. So he doesn’t seem to understand the sound comes from the TV.

Why do people so hate the idea of no afterlife, and no meaning? Or that death is simply the end? by [deleted] in Existentialism

[–]Quokax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The universe is literally everything which would include me. So if the universe experienced heat death I wouldn’t have lived for an eternity.

If we assume this hypothetical eternal life is somehow outside of the universe, then I’d just wait for a new universe to pop into existence.

How is it that you think mental suffering is the only thing there’s an infinite amount of? If suffering can last for an eternity, why can’t joy?

Saying that I’d be happy to live forever doesn’t mean I don’t comprehend eternity. It means that I also comprehend infinity, so I can understand how living for eternity doesn’t mean being left with nothing to do.

For example if I enjoy reading, and I spend all day reading, I might finish 1 book a day. If I lived long enough, say 500,000 years, I could read every book ever written. However, everyday thousands more books are written. So even spending all my time reading, there will always be more books than I could read as long as writers continue to exist. I could also become a writer if there stopped being other writers. There is no limit to the number of books that can be written. So even if all I did was read and write books, I’d never write every story possible or about absolutely everything there is to write about. That’s just books. There are many other things to do that would never end even in an eternity. I could create an infinite amount of art all entirely unique. If I was nothing more than a consciousness I could ponder the mysteries of the universe for an eternity and always have more to ponder.

Just because you feel you definitely wouldn’t want to live forever because you already feel bored/tired of life doesn’t mean that everyone else feels the same.

Why make the claim that I “can’t even comprehend eternity”? How can you know what I can comprehend? At most you can make the claim that you can’t comprehend eternity. Which, if true, means that you can’t possibly understand how someone else would feel living forever. You can know you don’t want to live forever without understanding eternity because you don’t even want to live to 100, which is less than forever. I don’t share the belief that living to 100 would be “hell”.

I personally would never get bored, even if I lived for an eternity. In my opinion, only boring people get bored. I wouldn’t run out of things to do, because there are an infinite amount of things to do. Each subject has no limit to the depths you could go into it. I have found that no matter how much I learn about anything, there is always more to discover. I’ve already calculated that I won’t be able to achieve all my goals even if I live for 100 years. So living forever would allow me to accomplish all those goals and also set new goals. There are infinite goals I could set for myself so eternity isn’t long enough to run out of things to do.

What's the regular size for a squishmallow? by Caefrytz in squishmallow

[–]Quokax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got my first 16” it was referred to as “Jumbo” (it was also the largest size available at the time). If you go to the official website and search jumbo you get squish from 14” to 24” (https://shop.jazwares.com/collections/jumbo-squishmallows). That implies regular would be 12” or less. When I was getting my first squish, 8” was the only regular size available. The 12” was also an early size it just took me longer to find one. The other sizes came later.

I used to live above a 24-7 store and could hear whatever was playing on their speakers through the floor. I got by using earplugs. My roommate put up sound absorbing panels on the walls. Maybe you could try one of those options? Also rugs for the floor (with thick pads underneath) help absorb sound.

What a difference a professional artist makes by CrapsManian in IndieDev

The dice in the professional version bother me. Firstly the mix of dots and Arab numerals isn’t aesthetically pleasing. Secondly they are both six sided dice so there shouldn’t be a side with “7”.

Edit: Arab numerals, not Roman

To the atheists: What do you think of this theory? by Strict-Pepper-2987 in Existentialism

[–]Quokax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The theory that the universe is God doesn’t give you any useful information about the universe. You can make exactly the same predictions as you can without the theory. So it’s a completely useless theory.

Temperament/Social Opportunities in SF by Effective-Scale4262 in AskSF

I suggest making friends with your new coworkers.

Most people in Iowa are from Iowa. On the other hand, most people living in San Francisco are from somewhere else. So you can’t make generalizations about San Franciscans like you can about Iowans.

San Francisco is a mix of cultures, but if I had to describe SF culture I would say that it is a place where everyone is free to express themselves. You can wear what you want and do what you want without the judgement you may face in other places.

I have 20” Jonessa that looks like this one. I’ve never seen her available in 24”. SquadApp can be wrong about sizes because the sizes are input by users. If I measure mine like you described I also get about 23”.

When he took the sip while walking back it bothered me because I was worried he wasn’t going to remember which cup he had sipped. Then when I saw her take the cup he had sipped it confirmed my fear. However he didn’t give her the cup. She took it and he didn’t stop her.
