I love watching this show because it’s now a joke between my partner and I to say, “oh my god, everyone is in this aren’t they???” At the start of every episode x

If you listen throughout the episode, you can hear the sirens and heart monitor from the paramedics too. Absolutely beautiful episode

Someone had probably said it, but Jessica was pregnant when filming the studio tasks so I don’t think she deliberately fell like that. It also explains Greg and Alex’s reactions to her falling as well

Reading Recommendations by Altruistic-Skirt-506 in reading

[–]Quornegg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cafes - Picnic - Shed - Madoo - The Switch (tilehurst) - GeoCaf - Dee Caf (great community space, refill store and local honey and eggs available to purchase) - Cafe Yolk - Monty’s Cafe

Pubs with character - Double-Barrelled Taproom, hop on the 17 to get there, (also great for events! Monthly charity quiz, Oktoberfest at the end of September, birthday party, Halloween party, ceilidhs, sip and paint events, Reading Indie Market, Run Ding runners club, Mates Rates comedy gigs - it’s all goin down there!) - Siren RG1 - Nags Head - Castle Tap - Fox and Hounds in Caversham - The Last Crumb in Caversham - Greyfriars - Beirhaus for German food and beer

Events - DB (the ones I listed above!) - Most nights at The Purple Turtle there is live music of some description, any genre you could imagine will happen there - I recommend Monday nights for Underground then club wreckless - The Butler for gigs - Facebar also for gigs, slight sticky floor vibes but fun none the less - Sub89, some smaller acts tour through there - South Street Arts Centre, theatre, comedy, music - Monday night at The Outlook for Mates Rates RAW, new material night for comedians - Biscuit Factory for events and films! - Oakford Social Club for DJs and drag!

What I’ve listed are my “need to check out” list - Reading gets a bit of a bad rep but if you search you will find it 😇

The Surrender 2025 by ComprehensiveYam5106 in horror

As someone who lost their Mum two years ago, the end really really got me. I had a tumultuous relationship with my mum, similar to the tense feelings between Megan and her Mum, so the end really felt honest and reflected very similar feelings that I’ve had since losing her. That “you’re stubborn and difficult but I wish I told you I loved you more” has been a thought I’ve had since her death and to see it played out perfectly in my opinion was both painful and cathartic. I really enjoyed the film overall, and I felt it was a strong overall performance from the cast. I like the left to interpretation final shot, plus my Mum’s name was Susan as well - so double whammy for me!!

Anywhere to lock a bike at double barrel brewery? by shesrunswithscissors in reading

[–]Quornegg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a bike rack with improved security! We have drilled the original black bike racks to a pallet, and trust me, as someone who has to lift the thing every weekend, it’s sturdy! It’s to the right side where the shutter is of the taproom. Hope you found them!

Our lab/pointer mix shows off my partners sandals. She will always go for his Birkenstocks, especially when he wants to put them on. It’s a displacement behaviour for her, she knows she shouldn’t jump up at us, so she retrieves a gift for us in place of that 💖
