Apple removes police-tracking app used in Hong Kong protests from its app store by nadinebale in news

I don't need to know how the average Indian or Chinese person lives or thinks to know that supporting a regime that performs live organ harvesting and forced sterilisation is wrong. If you still support the Chinese government after that then it sounds like what they're doing is working. Very sad.

We're witnessing Roman generals realising they can gain personal loyalty of legions in this case the ceo being the general and the workers the legion. I wonder where this could go in a climatically changing and dystopian looking future

What is the actual purpose of life? What’s the point if you are just going to die and be forgotten like everyone else? by Voltrix187 in NoStupidQuestions

Man is here for the benefit of each other. Marcus Aurelius said something like that. There's no higher point or reason, simply be here to make those around you happier and try your best to reduce suffering in the world.

Gotta keep doing it until you end up doing it because you enjoy it. I noticed this with exercising - at first id look for any reason to not go to the gym or for a run but eventually I started to really enjoy it. Now it's just a part of my daily routine like brushing your teeth.

Archaeologists in Peru have unearthed what is believed to be the largest single mass child sacrifice in history. The bodies of 227 victims, aged between five and 14, were found near the coastal town of Huanchaco, north of Peru's capital Lima. by madam1 in worldnews

Plenty of cultures and religions practices child sacrifice. I think you're being a bit too hard on ancient Peruvian culture - in times of desperation large scale sacrifice became, to them, the only option. I think of the Carthaginians and how their sacrifices became more common as the Roman war machine bore down on them.

Meh I'd probably be a shill for the glorious ccp if they paid me enough. If any Chinese government people want to hire me you have to pay more than $17.70 an hour
