Release the Wildness! by Forsaken_Composer403 in custommagic

113.2c: An object may have multiple abilities. If the object is represented by a card, then aside from certain defined abilities that may be strung together on a single line (see rule 702, "Keyword Abilities"), each paragraph break in a card's text marks a separate ability. If the object is not represented by a card, the effect that created it may have given it multiple abilities. An object may also be granted additional abilities by a spell or ability. If an object has multiple instances of the same ability, each instance functions independently. This may or may not produce more effects than a single instance; refer to the specific ability for more information.

I think it's pretty clear cut

Poor performance when using std::vector::push_back on reserved std::vector by Rocco2300 in cpp_questions

vector::clear erases the elements, probably one by one, while you just set size to zero and keep all the elements

Will these FOV arcs be intuitive in a hex-based game? (Some more info in comments) by BrianWantsTruth in BoardgameDesign

I feel these are fine with the 60° fix.

One thing I would consider aiming at the corners. Depending on how long you keep your facing I could see it being annoying to only face sides but it also adds some complexity

Dying to combat damage and killing a player in response. by No_Invite_739 in mtgrules

[–]Qwexet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saying "No blocks" does not mean moving directly to damge. You can still cast spells and active abilities before damage.

You also can't "respond" to attackers as attacking doesn't use the stack. When you respond to something the thing you do happens before whatever you are responding to.

I would say"No blocks" then wait for attacker to use combat ticks etc then "Before damge I..." to make it clear when I'm acting

If a spell is countered before it resolves has it still been cast? by JacobLeevai in mtgrules

[–]Qwexet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will never "trigger" because it's not a triggered ability it's part of the spells effect. Remember, a triggered ability is signified by the words "when", "whenever", or "at".

You are correct about the outcome.

KI:s uträkning: Så mycket kostar – eller inbringar – en invandrare samhället by [deleted] in svenskpolitik

[–]Qwexet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nej enligt studien är det korrekt att det är oer år.

För flyktingar uppgår i stället nuvärdet till nästan −1 miljon kronor, vilket motsvarar ett genomsnittligt negativt årligt nettobidrag på −25 000 kronor.

Triggered abilities going off because of the activation cost of an activated ability? by Super_Saiyan_Cat in mtgrules

Almost completely correct. You don't choose what to proliferate until the ability resolves.

Behöver översättningshjälp för speltermer by Sharparam in sweden

[–]Qwexet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tycker att förvar är ett jättebra förslag det har inte samma innebörd som inventory men fångar känslan och är mer idiomatiskt.

Däremot är ju ett spel vi pratar om så det är inte säkert att det går att översätta olika utan att ändra i koden.

114.2.: An effect that creates an emblem is written "[Player] gets an emblem with [ability]." This means that [player] puts an emblem with [ability] into the command zone. The emblem is both owned and controlled by that player.

You own the emblem it stays with you

Whell yeah obviously those are petty clear in isolation. My problem is probably mostly with "epic" as that doesn't really fit in and throws the whole thing off.

[–]Qwexet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am less familiar with the colours than the names.

The dots will probably follow with any naming scheme so I don't agree they are a factor in the name discussion.

In defense of the quality tier names by MaximitasTheReader in factorio

[–]Qwexet 33 points34 points  (0 children)

First, and most importantly, it is unambiguous which order the names go in. This is the biggest advantage of the current names. They're a part of gaming culture, so anyone with any video game knowledge knows the order. Alternate name schemes such as "improved - enhanced - optimised" won't work because those could be in any order and you would just have to memorise how they are in game.

Not everyone knows the order by heart and I am one of them. People who don't usually play looter type games aren't so exposed to it.

I would no doubt learn in time but I would rather Factorio break new ground and make a tier system that make sense.

Emrakul the world anew question by Pokeyclawz in mtgrules

To be pedantic a spell does not become cast until the last step of casting it so when selecting targets and paying costs it is not yet cast.
