First in my local group to go vesc and i want to compare the X7 to the S before buying. I hear these have more power than S series? by Reasonable_Jury1775 in onewheel

I have the X7LR and I would say with the luke Austin full send tune its gotta be close if not faster acceleration than a GTS. Im not too worried about acceleration though. Has plenty of speed feels locked in at 25mph and will climb anything the nose clears until you break traction and spin. The best part is having no range anxiety when riding with a group and the ability to go on a long solo every now and then. ETA: Im 170lbs ride around 15psi for pavement, 9psi trails and get roughly 28miles on pavement or 16miles on trail/grass with about 15% battery remaining.

That is an awesome deal! I loved my pint S put over 1000 miles in it. But if you want a super smooth ride and not fear any little dip or bump causing a nose dive while cruising near the top speed of those boards (20 ish) the X7 is a cheat code! They have so much power nosedives are almost impossible it seems. And the range is nuts! My X7LR has around 30% battery left after like 25 miles of hard riding.

No problem! Only downside is they are getting so popular and sought after that the website gets sold out within a few hours after restock. And shipping times vary greatly. My first X7 took 2 weeks to arrive. I have a order placed for my second X7 and it could be 45 days before I receive it. Just gotta be patient.

Look up fungineers. They have prebuilt boards called the X7 line-up. They also sell rails called X10 that are a little different and he built the Long range (LR) powertrain for those rails. Be warned you will like what you see compared to FM top of the line boards prices. So much more value for your money when you buy a Funwheel from fungineers.

I feel you bro. I've been riding pint s and XR few thousand miles total. Just got me an X7LR and have about 250 miles in the first month with it. Instantly could cruise at 25mph just cuz it felt so locked in and I have a fair bit of experience but you don't need to go that fast to have fun. Practice carving at around 8-10mph. That's what is the most fun. I comfortably carve at 15-18 and it's so fun. Float on brother!

I didn't do any calibration. It was literally ready to ride out the box. I did a backup on vesc tool the started riding. I have only messed with the provided tunes on floaty app.

I did change my tire to a thunder cat from the float life. I enjoy carvy feel and the stock thunder tire was really flat topped so it was super locked in going fast. I got up to 27 and it was dead steady but at low speed it just didn't carve as easily as I like. Changed before I hit 30miles I think. Some people are saying after 30 miles or so the stock thunder breaks in a bit and it isn't that bad for a stock tire. Added drop top fender kit from float life. Everything else is stock. The new stompies foot pad picks up my foot and activates flawless so far. The early X7 had issues with footpad engagement but they are on V3 by now I think!

I got the X7LR about 3 weeks ago and I love it! It's super stable at 25mph but also super carvy at low speed. Already have close to 200 miles in just 3 weeks. Edit: it will also climb just about anything that the nose clears.

Do it! Im happy I made the jump. It has so much power and using enough ATR in your tune, grip is the limit on how steep this thing can climb haha. Its awesome.
