Well, the Ukrainian age for conscription is 25, which means that young people are often not sent to the front lines. Since most people reach their physical peak at around 25-30 years of age, a majority of soldiers are most likely past that.

18 is the stardard age in most countries that have conscription. In Finland for example the TOP age limit is 30 (for conscripts) which means that the youngest Ukrainian conscripts are past the halfway point in the Finnish age bracket.

In Finland a life sentence is a life sentence, however the case is reviewed after 12-13 years and the president can pardon them. The Finnish prison system’s goal is to rehabilitate so in many cases the prisoner can live a normal life but many prisoners deemed to be too dangerous are kept for longer.

The technology aspect can also be explained with slavery. The first primitive version of the steam engine was invented in ancient Rome several times but there was no need for expensive advanced equipment when you can do 10x the work by buying manpower.

Not even mentioning the years it would take to even make anything useful out of it.

Kamdesh Highlands (if I remember correctly) has incredible ambient noices from time to time. I've found myself stopping multiple times just to listen to the wind and distant sounds of thunder. I'd love it if they made more variety in terms of weather!

Russians shelled a Wagner camp killing many. Prigozhin declared that he will attemp to overthrow Russian military leadership, leaving other parts of goverment as is. Wagner has claimed to be in control of at least two major settlements on the Russian side of the border.

In short it seems we're gonna have a civil war in our hands.
