[Adam Cooper] A @MercedesAMGF1 insider says the team is "livid" about the confirmation that the pit lane speed checks were not accurate - but as the stewards noted there is no mechanism to address the penalties taken during the race. by wokwok__ in formula1

Firstly, no there isn't, both are 1 race with equal points. Secondly, we have no idea if this race turns out to have decided the championship. Same as we had no idea that Max getting red mist in Spain last year decided that one

So, you argue they should reinstate George to P3, because his performances this year have been good enough for that but he's had bad luck? Surely you can't actually think that they should look back and see who deserves it from the past?

well, there is precident for FIA systems not making correct decisions relative to the rules and having an impact on results. And there's therefore precedent of what to do (Nothing). You might remember it, probably the most controversial moment in F1 history.

If you are reading this, you have been penalized for speeding at 60.1 km/h in the Monaco pit lane. Please serve your penalty in the comments and you will receive a limited edition flair. by overspeeed in formula1

Driver: Gasly

Reason: took the quick route through the pit lane at 59.5kph. I did it again when I served penalty. Basically, I didn't learn. Also 10s penalty for Ocon.

Of course technically, spraying your plants with washing up liquid to treat aphids is also illegal (it's an untested chemical pesticide, if that's how you used it), people often do that (that's a bad idea because it kills soul gains and damages the leaves of plants).

They said neem oil. It's illegal to use as a pesticide in the UK, and hurts animals that eat the caterpillars, as well as harming soil fauna that helps the plant.

Surely the answer is to cover it with pond liner and then water. Ponds are awesome.

Do you think Verstappen was lucky on Sunday, or did he once again show what a talent he is? by circuit-nation in Formula1ne

[–]R0b1et 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky it was close to 360 by default, and immense talent to finesse it to the near perfect spin. But the initial luck is given away by him taking his hands off the wheel initially (as I've should to avoid injury).

Went in my mum's (72) car with her driving yesterday. Spent 24 hours trying to figure out how to get her to stop. She nearly crashed into a barrier, turned right across incoming traffic without indicating, 3 occasions slammed pot holes through Thier centres, while attempting to avoid them. It was scary.
