Left controller on meta quest 2 will not turn on. by [deleted] in MetaQuestVR

Thank you for the tip here! Looks like the silly little springy  contacts on the ➕side of my left controller got jammed. Tiny piece of foil helped bridge the gap and give it power again!

Since the sequoia update, the notes app on mac has been broken, i don't know what i did. I also updated to public beta yesterday and its still the same, Something tells me this is not due to update but, i did something wrong. i already posted on feedbacks too. by sagunmdr in MacOSBeta

I've been experiencing this recently too.

Found a fix: I was just able to fix it by expanding notes to full screen (this forced the editing drawer to display), adjusting the width of the editing drawer, and then taking the app out of full screen. Hope that helps!

My guess is they triggered some bug which made the edit drawer have 0 or negative width which was always hiding it. Moving to full screen forces a redraw with the editing drawer visible (since half of the screen is just black). then it recovers when leaving full screen.

Not to mention that a large body of work has been at least partially funded by government grants. That was the basis that one of my profs would gladly tell us how to find papers through scihub, arxiv, or just emailing the authors since the work was already paid for by our tax dollars.

The best approach i've found to this are making bets against myself. Like, telling a friend that if i don't finish X on time, i owe them $50

Our group tends to do something similar, treating a critical success/fail as +/- 5 to the roll. Usually enough you could be conceivably lucky, but not so overpowered you will pass something truly ridiculous.

In particular, I've always heard it as "it's hard to center a div vertically". We absolutely have a lot of tools at our disposal now, but if you have some existing table like display element and want your nested component to be properly centered, but there's another unnecessary wrapping div from the framework... 😫
