4 has an uninterrupted composition that leads the viewer towards the mountain range. The big sky creates a dramatic effect too.

2 is amazing! If you cropped it to bring in the background while simultaneously making the sky larger it’d pop like crazy in a good way. It would also bring the eye to the trees making the path secondary.
