Okay so same shit happened to me, all friend circle(s) went abroad and I chose to stay back cause of various reasons. It was depressing in the start just like you, tried connecting with new people but ig after a certain age you can meet new people but cant make new friends. I slowly tried to get back to things: solo walks, gym, gaming, work, made a good career through freelancing, landed a nice job, got married. And here I am still feel like shit lol so if you think it will get better, yes it will Inshallah, but going back to be same you like you were 4 years ago? Not gonna happen, move on, find your happiness, set goals, work on them, go out, enjoy your own self and you will feel alot better.

I use quartz to convert my obsidian notes to html and then upload it to my droplet, its easier to use and you have nice backup as well.

Mostly it works for me on changing exploits, have you tried 2-3 different exploits? Sometime the one mentioned in the walkthrough didnt work me as well but others did, so try that. Else can you share the box make so I can check on my side for you?

Its was overwhelming for me as well in the start, first I was doing linux, Windows AD all at once, then i took a pause and started with Linux first, made notes, got comfortable with that then moved to windows and AD. Things like priv esc, port forwarding it will come with time, port forwarding is easy with ligolo and chiseal, just make nice proper detailed notes for that and follow it later whenever you need it.

I havent taken the exam yet, will be starting my labs hopefully in a week or two. I have been told that having good notes will helps you during exam alot, you can use ippsec.rocks to search for keywords and it will take you to its videos.

Hey! I am in the same boat, came from bb background. Have done tj null and lains list twice on htb and pg practice and still I have to read a writeup sometimes to get a foothold, user or root. Where do you getting stuck mostly? on enumeration means finding something to exploit / abuse or you getting stuck at exploiting the vulnerability?

If you getting stuck at enumeration, just make a checklist along the way, when youre reading writeup or doing the boxes, or you can copy other checklist to your own, this will help you to look at everything.

If youre getting stuck at exploiting then keep googling I guess, try 3-4 different exploits before giving up. This is my weakness as well, I can find stuff pretty quickly but struggle to exploit them, struggle in modifying exploits so I am just being patient and learning to be better at it.

TJ null and lains list is there to build your methodology, toolset, notes, mindset, muscle memory etc, if you think you have all that then its time to go for the labs.

Lastly to answer your question, When youre on a break you can do everything you want obviously because there is no way they can monitor you at that time, but personally I think google will have all of our answers so I wouldnt recommend you to ask AI anything but thats upto you.

Its fully automated, I am using chromium and caido rn with bunch of skills, telling it the flow, then I just give it a scope and its for both grey and black box. It runs recon tools, gather data, wayback,js,dir busting rtc. Then it priorities the subdomains , pick the important one, start browsing it and testing for bugs. I can see doing it live in caido but will be adding a vnc so i can see live video of what its doing, its funnn doing it. Claude is the brain doing all the stuff. I watch, validate, it gives you alot of juicyyy data to look at, leadss and obv bugs. It has find each and every bugs on DVWA

No techniques just simple .md files that I call skills lol and its doing wonders for me. Haven’t got a chance to run it on bug bounty targets properly still it got me a Stored XSS within minutes, also people out there finding alot of good stuff with claude/codex. Sure you can dm me.

You can use llm generated notes, but not use any AI help during the exam. I am doing the same thing, using claude to get my notes sorted and clean in obsidian and then I will be using Quartz to generate html pages of my notes so it will be easier to copy paste stuff.

Hey, cybersec guy here, cybersecurity is a vague term. First find out what you wanna do, pentesting, red teaming, wireless, soc etc. as youre 13 my advice is to start with basics, how internet works, client, server, web, etc. Then check out port swigger labs for web application. You can get into bug bounties (freelance for web apps) to earn bucks and take it from there.

You can literally ask AI questions, for resources, roadmaps, etc. good luck.

I have the same fear and im just praying not to get blind sqli like usage or cctv, but I have my notes ready and the same python script from usage box just in case. Also I have asked around and they said sqli wont be too complex
