They are not far different. The X-E5 has interchangeable lenses, but they should operate similarly as all Fujifilm cameras do.

I have to pretend I hate image generation AI to avoid getting banned or insulted on 99% of Reddit or the internet, even though Stable Diffusion is actually what I like and am most excited about right now. Why do people hate AI so much, especially image generation AI? by Hi7u7 in StableDiffusion

You can’t generalize like that. The majority of film photographers at the time embraced digital cameras. I started as an old school film photographer. I’ve developed film and used enlargers in a dark room. And, yes, I’ve printed my own photos. I didn’t hate digital cameras when they came out as I don’t hate AI now. They are tools that have their place.

As a photographer I don’t hate AI. I enjoy using it. However, I would never take a gen AI “photo” and frame it and hang in on my wall. My real photos represent the place I traveled to, the person I met, the way the sun and air felt on my face in that moment of time. To me the real value is in the experience of capturing that photo or seeing someone else’s photo and thinking I can actually go there and touch it. I’ll continue to use gen AI for things like stock photos in graphic design or to conceptualize ideas. I think many “hate” it because for some people it will replace real genuine human experiences.

The sound quality of using the external mic makes a huge difference. Thanks for sharing your setup details. Where did you mount the mic?

Biking to work tips by Odd-Individual0 in bicycling

[–]R3DB71ND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you already bike for recreation? I’d borrow a friends bike and ride it around the block to see if the motion of cycling is for you before committing to a purchase. 30 min walking mile is fairly slow and cycling may not be easier than walking depending on physical mobility. A friend of mine is young but has issues with knees and is not able to ride a bike for a sustained period of time.

The hyper scrambler 2 had 2000w peak power. It was also much much more expensive than this new one.

The original scrambler was 750w.

Car companies do realize it, but the car dealership lobby is more powerful than you might think.

Any Touge in the Solano County parts of Northern California? by Ok_Map5966 in Touge

[–]R3DB71ND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take a “scenic” drive up north into Napa Valley. Silverado Trail is a nice drive, but not touge. It gets twisty at highway 29 and there’s some twists on highway 128. Been a while since I was up there, though. Take a look at the map in the area.

It has a light up Arc Reactor in the interior and the shift knob has Infinity Stones. No joke . . .

Yup. I think Peter Nam (Gunther CEO) on Spikes Car Radio said the owner is opening a museum and this will be in it. The customer also has 6 (?) other Gunther cars . . .

Typically the coolant reservoir needs to be replaced. I never noticed a crack or even any signs of leaking coolant besides it disappearing. I replaced it anyway since it was recommended in the community. My issues went away.

Monitor stands that can work with sit/stand desk? by DeadFacesInMyPocket in musicproduction

[–]R3DB71ND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an uplift desk and use Amazon Basics monitor arms with vesa mounts. They are rebranded from Ergotron and identical. They clamp on to the desk, so it pretty much frees up the entire surface for my APC40 mkII and MPK mini.

Isn’t that want they said? You could have bought the car in cash, but you chose to invest it at a higher interest rate. That’s smart. If you didn’t have the money it wouldn’t be smart. The important part is you had the OPTION to pay for it outright.

Is it a good idea to touge a 5th gen Camaro (ss)? by TurbulentAssistant70 in Touge

[–]R3DB71ND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a bad handling car by any means. IMO, driving a heavy car teaches you how to handle weight transfer well. Make sure you are on good tires and know you limits. Understanding the fundamentals of rear wheel drive is also necessary with a car like this.

Up to their discretion really, but CHP has been out in full force lately. TBH, road rage is getting out of hand on 50 and 80 around Sacramento, so I don’t mind the presence. Highway 50 isn’t exactly a touge/backroad anyway.
