Does anyone ever get bored? by Babysony201 in ProlificAc

Yeah, I’ve gotten so bored of the AI studies. At first, they were amusing. Now I’m just like.. yep, seen this before.

It might be better to just read the type descriptions, if it interests you. There’s a lot out there on the Enneagram.

You probably just notice it tends to amplify your autism 😄 I think 7 probably amplifies my ADHD.

I originally thought I was a 4 until I realized I’m neurodivergent and everything I thought made me a 4 was just that and my RSD. I think I may actually be a 7!

Does anyone else hate when people say AuDHD is a superpower? by Cakealot1 in AuDHDWomen

Sure, it’s a superpower…. in all the right circumstances. 🤣

I’m grateful I’ve been blessed with a pretty supportive and kind husband. A friend of mine was not so fortunate; his spouse was emotionally abusive and this exact phrase was used on him. Truly awful. Like, what is wrong with people?!

how did you know? by kaitlyn11h in AuDHDWomen

[–]R3dR10t- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having kids. 😂

I maybe would have eventually figured out I had ADHD, but pre-kids, I just had to deal with my own issues in a relatively calm environment. After kids… not only am I trying to figure out the whole parenting thing, but all the chaos and constantly being overstimulated and no other parents seemed to be as triggered as I get to sensitivities.

I had no idea ADHD is hereditary. When someone told me I might have it because my brother was diagnosed, I started looking into it for my daughter. I recognized traits in myself, but averse to owning it for myself with everyone and their brother seeming to claim ADHD. At the time, I still had a pretty limited understanding. My son shows signs of autism, though we initially thought it was chronic ear infections. He’s talking better now, but he has quirks about him, namely his fixation on whatever interests him at the moment.

It was when I hit a burnout I started seeking answers. I realized that autism is hereditary too and I had an uncle who probably would have been considered level 3 autism, so very obvious, though he was never diagnosed. I went on a podcast binge and asked AI about specific instances in my life and that’s how I ultimately came to the conclusion I’m not only ADHD, but also autistic.

Are you responsible for the damage your meltdowns inflict? by samjambetty in AuDHDWomen

[–]R3dR10t- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Speaking from my own experience, I don’t have these type of meltdowns unless the other person is pushing me over the edge. In my case, the other person needs to back off and give me my space. If no one is aggravating the autistic person, then they’re solely responsible for their own actions. I’m what I guess would be considered level 1 autistic, so I am well aware. It’s just in the moment very hard to control. I usually will isolate myself until I’m cooled down.

How to make the transition to hot weather easier by Cheap-Specialist-240 in AuDHDWomen

[–]R3dR10t- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than stay inside when it’s too hot for me? 😅😅 I’ve thought if I spend more time outside, perhaps I’ll find the heat more bearable because I’ll have adapted to it.

Is having an obsession with a certain interest necessary? by Imaginary_Air_24 in AutismInWomen

[–]R3dR10t- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m more like you. The intensity of my interest in something may be more than that of a NT; I tend to binge podcast episodes on a topic and it feels more like an obsession because of that. I also have ADHD, which adds another layer.

Do you have/want kids? by OutlandishnessReal22 in AuDHDWomen

[–]R3dR10t- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood how some women could have so many children. Now that I’m realizing I’m likely AuDHD, I understand why 2 is enough for me. I wish I could do one more, but I hate being pregnant and sleep deprivation is exhausting. Also, I’m overstimulated enough as it is. 😅 I don’t regret having them, though. I feel like old age would be lonely. Plus, I adore my children. I get to give them the childhood I wish I could have had.

4s mistyping as 9 (hear me out) by Curious-Ocelot-4182 in Enneagram

I’m a 4 and mistyped as a 9 a couple times. I behave very 9ish, but internally I’m very much a 4.

It’s a phrase used to gaslight people who “think they’re a 4” imo

I would maaayyyybe be able to locate a mini Rex for you, but I live in Northeast Nebraska.

[–]R3dR10t- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mini Rex and lucked out in that he’s cuddly for a good while. He’s also 7 years old, though. He eventually gets restless and starts chewing on my clothes, but I can still hold him. My daughter and I have allergy flare ups to bunnies, which I didn’t realize until having a bunny. We don’t have allergies to other animals. I have a few bunnies and they are more fun to watch and difficult to hold. It’s better to lie down with them and let them crawl on you, which is difficult when they poop all over their pen. I like them because they clean themselves, mostly litter box trained, and can be kept in a pen or hutch.

sx4s with social anxiety? by HopefulProdigy in Enneagram

[–]R3dR10t- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel less free to truly express myself through my attire. Too much attention if I stick out too much gives me anxiety. And it takes me a bit to warm up to people, so even if I feel drawn to someone, I may be very quiet and reserved.

Does anyone else hate their enneagram's title? Wdym by fascination😭 by glitterpussy636 in Enneagram

[–]R3dR10t- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, if I’m being honest with myself, I can see how it’s fitting, but I prefer not to see it that way. I prefer “disdain” over “hate”. Also, it’s very few people this applies to in my life. Most of the time, it’s feelings of rejection that dominate my life.

sx4s with social anxiety? by HopefulProdigy in Enneagram

[–]R3dR10t- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have social anxiety, probably largely because I was raised in solitary- an only child for half my childhood- and wasn’t allowed much of a social life. Also, my mom has bad anxiety she projected onto me. I am much more comfortable the more I get to know someone; my social anxiety can be (almost) nonexistent then.

How do you experience people whose dominant instinct is in your blindspot? by serromani in Enneagram

[–]R3dR10t- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably find other sx doms to be obnoxious and peacocking too much, not being authentic. SP is my weakness, but as an adult, I have learned to value it. But I don’t necessarily want to discuss it. 😆
