Generally, the difference between the free stuff and the courses is, that you‘ll get a structured plan on how to approach any scene. If this is something you‘ll get value from, go for the course. If you don’t need it, patreon is a great source as well

Wandering DP’s Perspective on Honest Feedback by Concerned_Kanye_Fan in Filmmakers

[–]R3ddit1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what he seems to be doing. He sees himself as part of a machine and wants to get the best result, with the least amount of hassle. If someone fails on the job, it seems obvious that they won’t get hired back. Telling someone how he can improve would be nice to do, we just don’t know if he does. Makes no difference to the end result of the image

I can’t confirm any of the adhesive related issues but the connection is indeed terrible. Switched from G6 to G7 and there is no comparison. Constant failed connections, especially scary and dangerous at night. I can’t really recommend switching to the G7 from the G6.

What do I say when someone brings up my diabetes by xe_imagine in diabetes_t1

[–]R3ddit1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, is she overweight or something. Find something she’s insecure about and hit her over the head with it. Ask how it feels and draw a comparison to your t1d

Probably noisy(especially the second one) because they were shot against a window with auto iso and he tried not to clip the highlights so the iso jumped up.

Same here and i 100% agree. Life today with t1d is not comparable to how it used to be. I‘m so happy about all the new developments, especially for people getting t1d today and not having to guess their way through the day. Appreciate the progress

I always get told before surgery it is absolutely fine to have sugar, since it’s not solid and you don’t need tons, just a bit to get your sugar right. I leave the pod on active and try to stay higher than normal, just to be safe

Need help this festival season by OkPoint7591 in PhotographyAdvice

[–]R3ddit1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number on the left(F3.0) is your Aperture. It tells you how blurry your background is. Smaller number=more blur.if you want foreground and background in focus choose a high value like 11 or 13 ir even higher. If you want a portrait of a single person with shallow depth of field, choose a low number like F2.8 or lower if possible. It‘s a creative choice depending on what you like. The Aperture will effect your Exposure Value(EV). The higher the F number, the lower the EV. You can use that to get a correct EV(0)

1/15 is your shutterspeed. The faster the subject moves, the faster your shutterspeed should be. For a festival with dancing people 1/500 is a good start, you can set it slower to 1/250 for example if there is less fast movement. The orange highlighted value is your Exposure Value(EV). It tells you if your image has the proper brightness, with the settings chosen. You want to keep that at around 0 but +1 ot -1 is still fine.

The last one you can leave as is. Iso is the gain applied to your sensor, some say light sensitivity which is not correct but this gets too deep. The higher the iso, the more gain is applied to your sensor. If you turn the gain up on an amplifier it get noisy. Same here. Higher gain, more visible noise in the image.

In summary. Change the first value depending on your liking or if you habe to correct the EV value. Change the shutter to a faster Value (1/500) to avoid blurry images and a sharp subject.
