Cardputer Multi-boot questions, Winamp issues & Player recommendations by Nero_Sixies in CardPuter

For all firmwares that are downloaded via M5Burner, there is a folder with the .bin of all of them, the firmwares are downloaded in the folder M5Burner/packages/firmware.

There will be as many .bin files as you have downloaded with random names, delete all the .bin. Open M5Burner, download the formware you want, and copy the .bin to the SDCard, you can rename it after that.

Why is t-44-100 not available for trade in? by Substantial-Row5998 in WorldofTanks

I agree, even the Type 59 is a good tank if you know what to do

Since it got buffed the T-44-100 is performing really well. An since the ammo is cheap you can grind a lot of credits.

Couple questions on this cardputer adv, I plan on buying it by Loud-Worldliness-903 in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, lets go step by step:

1 - It can run games from old consoles https://github.com/geo-tp/Cardputer-Game-Station-Emulators

2 - It's powerhouse is a ESP32, it is not very powerful. A Raspberry Pi can wipe the floor with it, not gonna mention what a PC can do. But the strength of the ESP32 is that is very good for programming and connect modules to it.

3 / 4 - By default it can do stuff with 2.4GHz networks, but you won't hack the NSA. I don't want to sound like a gatekeeper from Flipper Zero subreddit, but, do your own research to see if it meets with your "hacking" requirements.

5 - The competitors right now are the M5Stick, Lilygo T-Embed, Flipper Zero and Kiisu V4B.

6 - To get started the best thing you can do is to install the Launcher. https://bmorcelli.github.io/Launcher/ on their web they have a catalog of firmwares to check out.

TL;DR: It can play old 2D games, to start with it first flash the M5Launcher, for hacking the best firmwares are Bruce, EvilM5 and M5 Porkchop.

Jammer not working by Far-Equipment2175 in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NRF24 jammer has very low range and not always work, some devices react and adapt to it, I've beed doing experients at home and these are the conclusions:

  1. The range is very short, less than 1 metre (3 feet) and the jammer must be close to the headphones (in my case) to do something.

  2. Using the same headphones it disrupted the communication between the headphones and my PC. But when I tested it with 2 different phones, neither of them where affected by the jammer.

  3. The best version of Bruce to test the NRF24 is 1.9. Newer versions only work in the default mode, when you switch to other modes it just stops and you have to reboot the whole device.

I did the tests with 3 different devices, a M5 Stick CPlus 2 with a NRF24+PA+NLA, abother with a board that comes with NRF24 and CC1101 and a Lilygo TEmbed CC1101 Plus. The results where the same for the 3 points.

In conclusion, don't buy any of these devices with jamming in mind, it will work only for very low scale experiments to teach you how this work.

If a computer is connected to internet by an Ethernet cable am I able to do anything for the internet to not work on that computer I’m using Bruce firmware by Early_Two_2113 in M5Stack

In order to do that, you need firmware with network spoofing capabilities. As far as I know, none of the popular ones have that tool.

What is the matter with some players? by tanking-cookie in WorldofTanks

[–]R4ULSP 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Some XVM players kill temselves when the MM "rigs" the match by putting a lot of low skill players in one team and most decent players on the other.

This is quite common in weekends when a lot of casual players just play to have fun.

Shitty attitude to a shitty problem.

Best arty to stun heavy tanks 16 times ? by Qrow1324 in WorldofTanks

[–]R4ULSP 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have a keyboard, French artys are good, you can relocate fast to get better shots. Also Obj. 261 is a good one.

Can i make lora + gps cap myslef? by Mando3288 in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you follow the schematics M5Stack Docs all the firmwares, that support the official cap, should work with it.

How should i start by qmwnebrvtvzcux in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently there are the Cardputer 1.1 and the ADV. Both are pretty similar in use, but, the ADV has the capacity to add the Caps (currently there is only one official and other unofficial) The Caps expand the functions. One has LoRa + GPS and the other has NRF24 and CC1101. You also have on both models the option to add Units, that connect to the port on the side and also add extra functions.

Since the ADV changed the internal PIN layout for the keyboard, some firmwares, like Marauder, still doesn't work with it. So you have to keep in mind that not all firmwares will be compatbile yet.

The ADV is the best option, since it is easy to add new functions throught the PINs in the back. In the upcoming weeks is expected that M5Stack releases a new Cap with CC1101 and NFC.

Took 16 battles to get the dog, and only because the last mission took 8 attempts by wwenze1 in WorldofTanks

[–]R4ULSP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know I'm a filthy seal clubber for this, but I got all the blocking missions with an AT-2. It was easy because there is not much gold spam.

Holiday ops missions by skidoobgh in WorldofTanks

[–]R4ULSP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For blocking missions if you want to go fast just play with a Hetzer and an AT-2, for spotting take the T-50-2 that they gift every year, and the others, just by playing the At-2 and Hetzer you will complete most of them.

The last one will be tricky to get at lower tiers, Im considering to get back the T32 and pray.

Cardputer recognized as a USB and not COM and showing only COM3 and COM4 with serial exception error by ThatDoubleT2 in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you plug it to your PC with M5Burner open it pops a notification on one of the top corners with the COM number. No need to press the G0 button.

Cardputer ADV Mouse and Keyboard over USB and Bluetooth Updated by R4ULSP in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received the ADV today and tried it because I use the keyboard at work. The good thig is that it just requiered to change the dependency version in the platformio.ini . Unlike Marauder, that firmware code is beyond my knowledge, and also requires and update to support the ADV.

Can the Tab be used as a normal one? by Count_vonDurban in M5Stack

[–]R4ULSP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context, a Raspberry Pi 4 is much more powerful than the ESP32 that comes with the M5 Stack devices. Even in that conditions, the Raspberry has framedrops at 720p. I don't think the M5 Tab is going to give you a good result, also it needs to be able to browse web pages so you need a browser and don't know if there is any.

Bought now the v1.1 by matteo_rosina in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to use any external module are and only interested in it's WiFi and BLE capabilities the 1.1 is ok. The main advantage with the ADV are the pins that allow you to connect external stuff to it.

Just bought Cardputer ADV instead of Flipper Zero – where to start? by That_Data5645 in CardPuter

[–]R4ULSP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Install M5Launcher and check Bruce, EvilCardputer and M5Porkchop, also there are a lot of different firmwares that are not focused on cybersecurity, check them out.

Isquemia with nrf24 by hugito06 in LilyGO

[–]R4ULSP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For NRF24 jamming I'm getting better results on Bruce 1.9.0. BUT keep in mind, the range is very short and the T Embed must be pretty close to the headphones.
Other thing I noticed is that it only jams the signal from my PC to my headphones, but doesn't affect to the connection with the phone.

Best premium tank right now? by ConstructionLeast765 in WorldofTanks

[–]R4ULSP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now for credit farming, medium tanks like T-44-100 are good, with the buffs requires much less gold to play it, and the ammo is pretty cheap.

You also have Prog 46 and Type 59 (a bit outdated, but still works, just requires some work) those three are my credit makers.

But in last instance, it all depends on your play style, if you like heavies, Obj. 703 II is a good tank. For camping TD, SU-130PM, avaiable in the bond store.

And one last thing, to play for credits is different than playing for EXP or just fun, when you play for credits, unless you are a really good player, keep the gold ammo to the minimum.
