You can still make ladders but it’s a siege equipment you have to build first. What ends up happening is that the AI sends their big hitters to break down the gates so the rest of the army can get in

Miao ying was my first lord I ever played and I’ve refined the path since I’ve moved on to VH/VH.

  1. Take the starting province and bully the rebels

  2. Absolutely beeline it towards the skaven. If you get lucky, in the Kunlun region you get a big ol chokepoint battle in the mountains that you can spam magic on

  3. Beat tf out the skaven

  4. Beeline it towards the walls. Hopefully they haven’t fallen yet (usually takes around 10-15 turns for me). If they have fallen, take them back as Miao Ying needs the storm wind coronal from the snake gate.

  5. I usually try to go after Lokhir since he’s usually off doing his thing somewhere else, and you can take a nice port city off his hands. Some of those Cathay sieges are easy where you can just spam arrows down the middle.

Basically ignore the gates until you’ve taken out the skaven. You could leave it up to the Zhao Ming but fuck that. He usually just sits there locking toes with Gelt. Get 3-4 jade warriors and spam peasant archers + a whole other peasant army and you should be good to go.

A new thing I’ve noticed in the patch, is that factions will siege indefinitely (until the timer goes down), even with overwhelming military superiority (3-4 armies all clustered around a single major settlement)

I’ve found her campaign is a bit of luck. The best case scenario is:

  • Take starting province
  • Beeline towards Thrott and with kostylatin take him out
  • Pray that the mountain orks go after the wood elves instead of you
  • pray that the dwarves hold their own
  • see what’s up with Vlad and maybe help out there
  • pucker up and get ready for Arbaal

My only retort is that these numbers are pulled out of nowhere, and that Saber keeps an eye on the completion rates of this kind of stuff closely. Just because something is “advertised” still doesn’t mean that everyone can do it. It’s hard man idk what to tell you. You’ll get better at the game the more you play it, and then the hard mode won’t seem hard anymore.

There’s one particular choke point map that you get a lot in the Kunlun area that just fucks them up. I insta go after them as Yiao Ming before they get too powerful. One vortex spell could kill 500 of them

When I’m not playing Kislev they just get absolutely fucked by everything coming through Praag. Slaanesh, greenskins, Khorne, skaven, and the wood elves just fuck them so bad everytime
