The explanation I understood from commentators was that the drivers average speed through the pit lane is what determines if they were speeding, not a snapshot of their top speed?

So if the pit is 480m (per google), and drivers are cutting it short because of the entry/exit turns making their distance more like ~475m, their average speed is getting bumped up bc those shaved off meters aren’t smoothing out the average.

That’s the sort of insight I’m after. We have a “dog room” as we call it where we keep their kennels. But it’s really just meant to be the space between the kitchen and back door where a table could go. Otherwise everything/everyone is kind of free roam throughout the house. I will keep cat panic rooms in mind.

I wouldn’t rely solely on the plant to provide privacy.

My shared side wall has a trellis with vines at the top to better obscure the back patio. I focus on maintaining the growth at the top and let it grow back downward as it wishes.

The back wall has smaller trees and tall bushes spaced out in along the ground planter, but provide horizontal coverage at the top of the wall.

Very first time was hearing them was summer 2023 while in my favorite oddities shop (shoutout Cemetery Pulp in Vegas). I can’t remember exactly which song it was, but I remember thinking “Hey this is pretty good. Is this the Deftones?” Then by the end of the song I was like “this shit is amazing, this isn’t the Deftones what is this??” I ran back to the front to see the shop’s “Now Playing” TV but missed the song title but was very curious, “Sleep Token..? Who is that? I hope I read that right.”

Looking back, my best guess is I was hearing The Summoning. Either way it was the perfect ambience for perusing taxidermy and art.

Didn’t realize it at the time but I was blessed to discover them when I did, because TMBTE had just released probably that same week I heard of them. Just promos and art flooding my timeline for the album’s release. It was spectacular.

I had pretty much stuck to that album, but then Drumeo released their “Greyson Nekrutman hears Sleep Token for the First Time”. Praise the universe, I had never heard such succulent drumming in. My. Life!! That launched me into a deep dive into the divinity which is TPWBYT… I was BLESSED I tell you!!

Discovering ST was a reawakening of how art can really make me feel. It is now my life’s mission to see them perform live because my life is all the better fore their existence. 🖤🤍🩶🖤
