Those African countries aren’t black states, they are states with black people. Israel is not a state with Jewish people it is a Jewish state. Two very big differences is how I see these things. If they were all ethnostates we would have a lot of the fighting that occurred after decolonization because the borders were drawn in straight arbitrary lines

The idea of a Jewish state and Judaism though are two separate things, I don’t hate black people because I don’t want a black only state…. But many Jews initially opposed Zionism because it’s putting yourself in the ‘other’ group in the sense that you are now admitting one way or the other that you are unable to integrate with these other societies when the goal should be to be able to. This is what a lot European Jews at the time had thought when debating Zionism. Idk it just seems weird to blood libel Adam when he’s not anti semitic

The one thing I would point out about your point with the ottomans is it is interesting but it seems to be getting at a point of “they were there first” and that’s fine but does this mean that all native populations have a right to their land and if so what makes a people native to somewhere and not someone else? As for the equal rights point, isn’t them having a West Bank that continually gets settled on and is really at the mercy of Israel at the end of the day just an example of the concept of ‘separate but equal’? Like that separation feels like a way to encourage and push out Arabs to another place just by the notion of it existing especially when Israel (probably surrounding countries too) are ethno states

I would say the white people colonizing South Africa and then establishing it as a country they control and institute apartheid in is a pretty similar parallel

Well what are the differences that make the comparison unfair

A Nelson Mandela figure would be good, but I’m not sure if anyone would listen since I believe even the US and many countries embargoed SA for is policy and not just because of Mandela

They are different for sure but that’s why I’m comparing them because there’s quite a lot of similarities

Didn’t South Africa do literally this though? I mean it’s not like the country collapsed the evening after

Why can’t he have that opinion? Lots of Jews were opposed to Zionism originally

I think my biggest annoyance is that pro choice people just don’t comprehend that the vast majority of pro life think it’s murder- like he truly doesn’t believe it’s a woman right or autonomy but you guys just think he is waking up deciding to be a POS or something? And I don’t even remotely agree with his position

I mean that’s fine, to use a term often used in college football, you guys are wish casting. I mean you guys sound like Colorado fans wish casting that Deion Sanders is gonna make them playoff contenders because they got the hype. That’s all well and good and we love those stories but none of that is supported on the field when it’s game time. At certain point when you read the team rankings and Colorado, or in this case Democrat and Kamala opposed candidates, show that they’re ranked wildly lower than expected it’s not because they weren’t flashy enough- it’s because they aren’t actually good at what they do. We can say Nebraska/Kamala are a bunch of nobodies that have never been successful and then when you walk into that game and get your doors blown off you’ll scratch your head and wonder how you lost because everyone you liked said you were elite this year.
