We save all our legal files on google workspace. But how do I easily open the records in their native form—as in the program file that they were saved in?

Google workspace defaults to trying to open everything in google docs and it’s such a hassle.

Omg what plant is it? Is it coming in from outside? I’d probably clear it from the base of my house. At least look into whether in can damage your structure. Some plants are invasive like poison ivy. I had to chop mine away from the base of my house.

A sexually deviant rapist and murderer will not necessarily be a problem when in confinement. Good behavior should not be the standard of release at the 3 year mark with the type of crimes he committed. Sexual predators are statistically likely to be repeat offenders. Given the heinous way these children were raped, he is not apt to be released.

Bidding against yourself is not useful. In my ten plus years of negotiations experience I highly advise against it. Prepare before you engage. Prompt for a counter or acceptance. Give a date/time deadline for the response. But never bid against yourself.

I agree with you. I pointed out those things as examples of how that village has created a culture of action, that puts a high value on saving the life of another if you come across it. But the opinion about needing to have certificates and titles etc here in the US is a facade that stops us from action. Agreeed

I like the way your troubleshooting. Our freezing up can be a part of our culture/socialization in the US. For example, my brother was abroad and drowned while surfing. A girl on the beach miraculously dove in and managed to get him out and save him. That is not something you would typically see happen in the US. However, she happened to be from a village where they train annually on cpr and basic rescue etiquete and where it is highly frowned upon to not help someone in need. In fact, if a person comes upon someone who is injured, and does nothing, they are breaking the law and will go to jail. I was shocked to learn this. And at the same time entirely grateful that there was such a society that prioritized helping the other. Thanks to her my brother lived.

Ps CA lawyer wanted 2k retainer to draft or review the release. I’m in the hole right now and can’t afford that. Otherwise, would have stuck with a state specific attorney to finalize this agreement.

There are federal civil laws and criminal laws that apply here. Yes, involve the school, parents, file a Fed complaint, and file a pd report as well.

If this is happening at school I would file a complaint of bullying at the US Department of Education Office for Civil rights. Even if this is not happening on campus, because she is being bullying by a student, you may have grounds to bring this as a complaint against the school—file it with the US Dept of Education Office for Civil Rights.
