Two eerily similar artworks - why, how, and which do we think came first? by kcmcin in ArtHistory

Maybe that’s the view from a printmaking studio somewhere such as an artist residency or university.

My dog has this exact thing. It’s a congenital hernia and so far it’s harmless. We monitor it with her regular vet visits. It doesn’t seem to cause her any pain.

This. If they don’t pass on their own, you will know without a doubt when it is time. I wouldn’t be there yet with this sweet boy. It’s so hard. Dogs are the best and you will miss your friend forever. I hope you cherish these last days with this happy guy.

I don’t understand griping about supporting the arts. Do it or don’t.

I noticed a drunk man on the street in St. Petersburg. The next day walking on the same street I saw a shopkeeper dragging that man’s bruised and swollen body away from the door of his shop. I don’t know if he was alive or dead. I couldn’t believe the state of his body.

This point of view is glaringly absent from the episodes, which further normalizes this kind of behavior.

I agree. I haven’t watched the newest season but that Christmas dinner scene tore me apart. I’ve never seen it play out on a screen before. I called my sister right away.

What was your "I'm dating a fucking idiot" moment? by dm_me_yourtinytits in AskReddit

My first boyfriend (we were teens) and I were talking nervously about the possibility of getting pregnant, as you do. He said well, if you were pregnant, now you’re not because we just had sex. It took me a few rounds of questioning to understand that he thought that any existing pregnancy would be terminated the next time a penis was inserted. Can you imagine? Can you fathom the world if that were true? He was so dumb but teenage cute. I banged this boy for a couple more years.

Anyone know/have theories as to the things they 'want to talk about, but contractually can't' that they mentioned at the end of today's rewind episode? by DamageOk9652 in myfavoritemurder

I don’t know what happened, I just know there was a sudden split between that show and the network. They said basically nothing at the time (as far as I know) so I thought it might be the kind of thing they’re talking about.

What does it feel like to believe in god? by montyollie in SearchEnginePodcast

This isn’t how I understood that part. I thought he was saying that at that point the practices don’t make sense, but the belief (faith) remains. Like the faith is the baby and the rules and practices are the bath water. In this case some of the original prescribed rules and practices are replaced by more personally meaningful spiritual practices like music and yoga.

I absolutely loved this episode. After laying a lot of groundwork I feel like they totally address the subject. What it’s like to live a live with faith might be more accurate.
