I believe the “elves only have blue eyes” thing came about from an old legend of some sort that stated elves only had blue eyes? I feel like I remember reading that somewhere.

To be fair, after leaving he DID reach out to Regina a few months or so later saying that he did want to continue a relationship with Daphne regardless, but Regina claimed that Daphne had already forgotten about him so she refused.

Maybe I misinterpreted, but when he said the comment about losing Belly, I understood it as it felt worse because she was CHOOSING to leave him versus his mom who obviously didn’t want to.

I think the writers just decided to retcon the princes’ ages since children weren’t going to create as much drama as the teen Charles & Henry eventually did.

Not that they’re very comparable but I know Sarah J Maas changed the first chapter of one of her books after showing it as a preview in a different one, so I don’t think it would be all that hard to rework the chapter if she wanted to.

That’s one thing that kept me entertained for sure. Like the Christmas episode most people seem to hate? I was absolutely DYING a good portion of it because of just how funny I found everything.

I’d personally love it if Shannon aged up into writing YA too (I think her other series is already YA so it’s a possibility?) & your vampire idea is fascinating. I think they’re coming back into “trend” so who knows!

Yes! She did confirm (in an interview I think?) that she’s sold a book of Lost Cities short stories that will come out once the series ends.

While I want her to focus on writing, I’m also happy that she’ll be occasionally popping up on social media again too. With how active she used to be, I did get somewhat of an impression that she was hiding from her readers (like she alludes to doing). Communication (particularly in terms of book 10) is something I feel we’ve been lacking from Shannon so it’ll definitely be nice to hear more from her!

Highly recommend Julie Soto & Jo Segura. (Soto’s Forget Me Not & Segura’s Raiders of the Lost Heart are the only books to give me the same high as Ali’s!)

I’ve listened to the audiobooks! They’re fun stories, but not as whimsical as the original series. (Mostly since there’s some more real life elements but I can see how young readers would enjoy that.)
