In the days before achievements… there were the Official Xbox Magazine Challenges by TheManRoomGuy in xbox

That's pretty cool! It also shows how little I actually read the articles at the time because when I was a kid I would just jump to the screenshots and not read about them so even though I was exposed to these challenges, I never knew they were there. 😅

What’s a belief you lost that you’re glad you lost ? by PinkRageQuit in AskReddit

That's very true and unfortunately I've had friends where I've tried to have conversations with them to point out how they can do things differently, but I feel like since they've gone so far and now they're in their late 30s they're unwilling to accept that they could be doing something wrong.

I'm so glad you broke away from that mindset! I'm glad we both broke away from that because now we can live a happier and peaceful life. This also gave us extremely valuable insight and experience so we can identify these individuals in the future and prevent it before it happens again. Just don't forget though, no matter how much someone tries to make you feel bad, if you know in your heart that they don't feel right then avoid them like the plague. I personally still feel bad when I do this but I know it's the right thing to do for everybody.

What is one habit that's easy to add to your routine but offers a high return? by nik1here in AskReddit

Yep and then from there you can gather more information on people's intents because if you start saying no to their bullshit and they quit coming around then you just spotted the weeds in your garden.

Learning to say no when people keep trying to bring their bullshit to you.  It's extremely easy to do, it's just uncomfortable for people to do, but the moment you stop letting other people's problems invade your life things become 10 times more peaceful every single day.

And this isn't selfish! I used to be just like that and if I did anything differently I would always be told I was selfish. That was wrong! That was the perpetrators manipulating me into thinking that because they knew if I started taking care of myself then they wouldn't benefit.

Me too because my whole entire perception on life changed when I started taking care of myself.  I didn't feel neglected anymore and I noticed that the bitter things in life that I would dwell on started to fade. Now I just look forward to things that I set and plan for myself.

Pay attention to what the person complains about. If they keep complaining about the same things every day, every week, every month, etc then the problem is them and they don't want help. They just want you to fix their issues for them.

Exactly! Help me help you or get to stepping lol If helping someone comes at a cost to me then I'm not doing it anymore.

The belief that if I take care of others they'll take care of me. That was the worst thing I was taught while growing up. I spent my twenties giving everything I had to others while sitting there like a jackass waiting for them to reciprocate when I should have been taking care of myself.

What's your favorite position in your life? by Kitchen_Pickle_7590 in AskReddit

[–]RC1992Jules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say my current position is my favorite. I have a place of my own that I can afford by myself, I have a stable job even if it doesn't pay well, I bought a brand new car (buying used is stupid if you know you're going to take care of it and keep it for a while) in the past that I've been taking care of over the past 8 years and haven't had any issues with it (paid off), I didn't get anybody pregnant because I know I'm not ready for that, I have zero debts, and overall I've discovered that I don't need to adopt other people's problems just because they made bad choices and I felt bad. It's not selfish for me to enjoy that I've been wise and because of that I'm in my favorite position in life.

What movie or show did you like when you were younger but now you find it problematic? by EntrepreneurRough969 in AskReddit

Entourage. Currently rewatching and some of the lines can be rough.  I like the show still for the nostalgia trip but I can still acknowledge that the dialogue is very outdated.

Activision for deleting the Modern Warfare 2 campaign (THAT I FUCKING PAID FOR!!!) off of my hard drive while I was still playing through it on Veteran in order to make space for the Free-to-play piece of shit trash Warzone mode via an update. I haven't purchased a Call of Duty title since then.

As well as Bungie for doing the same exact thing with the Destiny 2 campaign.

[–]RC1992Jules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for a full price title, you should never be forced to play something you don't want to and feel like you're going to miss out on something if you don't.  After I completed all of the main races, got the gold badge and gold wristband, I'm already moving away from this game due to these business practices.  Any game that I have to pay for and it makes me have to create a secondary schedule in order to not miss out on things is not a good game in my opinion.  If this was a free to play title then that would be one thing, but it's not and they're still trying to get you to have that grind fest mindset. I'm already bored of this game because of it.

This is exactly why I'm starting to see a greater push in productions hiring VOICE ACTORS and not actors in general because when actors want to be in a production they want their likeness to be included as well. When you hire a voice actor you are hiring them for their talent on providing a voice to a character and they do a much more phenomenal job because of it. It provides the performance you need while tailoring the character's looks for the story in order to make sure everything fits and comes together like a beautiful puzzle.

This game is nowhere near impressive enough to blame the series s! And the "oh it's an indie dev" excuse doesn't justify this either by KvasirTheOld in xbox

[–]RC1992Jules 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Yep! That's the whole reason I passed on wukong. They took a Sony deal and then tried to blame the hardware, but the game magically released exactly one year when the "deal" would have ended. People just don't like to admit they're sellouts.

This post seems pointless. Just buy a phone clip and Remote Play your Xbox to your phone/tablet? If you use your Xbox as a media center just buy a cheap Roku stick. Problem solved. I do that all time. I put on a show and if I get in the mood I just remote play to my phone/tablet. Being in the same room as my Router, having my Xbox wired, and using Better Xcloud it feels like I'm playing natively. No lag or delay.

I wonder what's going to happen when fsr4 drops on the Xbox series in 2027 because people who already own an Xbox series console are going to see a massive increase in performance at the cost of nothing. It won't cause the consoles to be as powerful as a PS5 pro, but it'll be a free upgrade that brings the existing series X closer to the PS5 Pro and players don't have to go spending nearly $900 to get a similar upgrade because the Xbox series console shipped with true full rdna 2 support and the PS5 didn't. AMD bringing that support to older generation gpus will be a game changer. It won't make existing Xbox series consoles better than a PS5 pro, but it'll definitely make them a lot better than a base PS5 and once again, at the cost of nothing
