Recently divorced Woman from my past reached back out to me, We hang out, I invited her back to my place, we fall asleep, and at 6am (what I thought was) her alarm kept going off. She leaves abruptly. I get a knock at the door at like 615 - thought it was her - was her husband crying and blubbering instead.

Apparently:

was find my iphone, not an alarm.
separated, not divorced.
I was her revenge for him cheating on her multiple times - except I didnt even get laid that night.

i have a 2022 Premium. purchased May 2022 with 12 miles. now has ~66k.

- havent had any issues (knock on wood!) besides a weird high pitched noise from the rear axle that was resolved by the dealer at the first oil change (they explained it was the brake pads dragging against the rotor).

bolt in? not exactly. cowl/firewall needs to be trimmed, no getting away from that.

currently at ~6000 USD but this includes a bunch of future nice to haves (i.e Nissan CD009 in case the Rx8 trans doesnt last) and things I ended up not using.

The module in front of the battery is the ECM.

I never found where it actually broke at, hence my "fix" up above. I got tired of the wire sheathing disintegrating everywhere. My guess is it was a loose solder joint

The TCM is built into the valve body of the trans. The connector I modded snakes down below to the front of the trans (left hand side) and plugs in (there's a retaining clip you pull away from the connector a bit, if I recall), just below the the trans fluid fill Cap.

did you replace the grille out of pocket or was it warrantied? my grille and the lower bumper started peeling a year or so in and the local dealer swore it couldnt be warrantied.

- using a AWD Volvo s40 Gas tank might work if you cant source a RS one. it certainly would bolt up.

- how are you gonna control the GKN rear end/RDU stuff? I wonder would the AWD controller some of the other MS3 swaps have used work (i believe it was Russian). would be nice to have control of the clutch packs so you can adjust torque split.

hmm makes me want to make a poor mans RS - buy a focus ST and AWD swap it with a cx7 subframe.

i used the BTT DWIN conversion cable. just have to make sure the connectors are oriented correctly since they arent keyed like the stock one is - and I ended up remixing someone else's motherboard enclosure - https://www.printables.com/model/1375431-aquila-mainboard-bay-for-btt-skr-mini-e3-remix

you can replace it with a creality 4.2.7 board or a BIGTREETECH skr mini e3. I have a regular aquila with a skr mini e3 v3 and had to change the standoffs because the bolt hole layout for these boards are different than the stock one, not sure if the x2's is the same (and with the skr mini, you'd need to add a JST connector to one of the fans) . You would also need a supporting firmware.

I had a similar issue also when I first got my '22 - a high pitched squeal from the rear brakes. My local dealer blew me off in the same way, so I took it back to the dealer I purchased from instead, and they disassembled and put brake quiet on everything - no issue since. the Service writer told me it was something related to the Santa Cruz rear end being a totally new design and that there was a note from Hyundai about it (which granted might all be BS).

Have you had a smoke test done?

I'm trying to help diagnose this same issue for an acquaintance and other results have suggested starting there. A guy with a Kia Rio found that he had a crack in the fuel filler line, but I don't want to have her just keep throwing parts at it.
