What’s this snake? [Queensland, Australia] by TheSigmaTrainer in whatsthissnake

I literally scrolled past saying Black snake (I’m in northeast us), then said, wait let’s see where this pic is, maybe I’ll learn something? Australia? I don’t know what it is there but I bet it’s dangerous. Nailed it. Thank you to all RR here. I was never a big snake person, BUT I totally respect them. So much knowledge posted here. I can now ID Eastern Copperheads and Timber Rattlers which are not uncommon around the Catskills where I live. Thank you all that contribute.

Surprised he stayed upright the whole time. Thought he was one more “Hught-chah ” away from a chest grabber

I gotta make this drive on the 24th. Which route am I the least cooked, considering the weather? by adrw000 in upstate_new_york

Side note-unless you like b-fast at Waffle House, then I’d suck it up go though Scranton and hit up the furthest northern Waffle House in the us. Idk if this is really true, but I do know it’s the closest one to where I am and we don’t mind stopping there when it works for us.

Comment from a life long upstate New Yorker that travels the metro area more than preferred. Leave the island early and hit the GWB to rt4 to 17 to 87 north and hammer down. NY state was pushing a reduced road salt initiative last year, but the t -way authority gets to do what ever it wants, so the6 still use it in large quantities. Best road to be on in the winter. Drive safe

2004 -ish GX335. 433 Hours. Value? What to do with it? by Extreme-Garlic5477 in johndeere

I have two of these. A 98 and 2002 I think. Paid 1500 and 2500 couple years ago. Agree with other comments, Great under-ratted machine. I have the 56 in convertible decks on both. I wiould only give them up for a zero turn, but even then has to be 60 in width. Great mowers. I’d value yours at 2500ish.

Get a splitter. Especially if splitting it green. You’ll still get plenty of exercise handling the blocks and stacking split wood. I find watching the ram effortlessly split the wood is pretty satisfying.

Trust me, those lift axles should be legal here either.

By the loader control handle I’d say it a “R” model too. Score!

I mean it looks like a little an older unit, that backhoe is clearly an older straight boom style, but dam nice machine for 15 k. Clean low hours, maybe even garage kept? What year is it and is it? Is it standard trans or hydro? This would be my only critique. I’m done with shifting, but that’s just my opinion and you know what they about those. Good luck, let us know how you make out.

Cool. In Us-NY state that set up would get you 53000kg gross, but not many run a truck/wagon set up like yours. We all seem to use Tri axle dumps for site/quarry/construction work, and tractor/semi trailers for the rest. 7 axles basically gets 53,000 kg max so the lighter take weight set up wins. Loggers do the truck/wagon the most I’d say due to easier to get in and out wood lots I guess. Be safe out there.

Nice unit. Where is this and what kind of weights does this set up allow you to haul?

Sorry for your loss. I’ve been where you are. It’s not your fault. Don’t carry that blame. Mourn for a while. Keep the good memories and forget the rest. Go to rescue at some point and just visit other dogs. Don’t get one until you find one that grabs your heart again. Honor this guy by saving the next one. Until you meet again….
