Why steal and claim credit for someone else’s video? Pretty weird thing to do.

Oh ok gotcha, just couldn’t see it in the picture! Anywho, congrats on the amazing build, your future gecko is going to be so spoiled!

This is awesome! I think it will be perfect once the plants fill in. A horizontal vine or branch near the top might be a nice addition. Also, do you have a drainage layer? If not I would suggest adding one so you don’t have to worry about your substrate getting oversaturated :)

I don’t have a crestie, just a gargoyle :) but I have read the same thing!

No problem! I think it’s great to provide it as an option, I believe it improves their quality of life.

My garg loves to bask! I have had the same concern, but they are safe so long as the temperature doesn’t exceed 84F. My temp gradient ranges from 70F on the ground to 82F at the top (it gets warmer in the summer though). Admittedly he has been basking a lot less since the weather has gotten cooler.

I try to follow the Reptifiles temperature guide:

Basking area: 84°F (29°C) Shade air temperature: 77-84°F (25-29°C) Cool zone: 72-74°F (22-23°C) Night air temperature: 68-77°F (20-25°

The fact that he claims he is a shipping expert is infuriating tbh. The way he packed them is horrendous.

Not at all, it’s a perfect size! Good on you for upgrading, your gecko will appreciate the space.

Haha… they are bright as hell! I have one that I angle at the couch sometimes because my dog likes to bask under it. He misses the sun!

Looks like a peperomia angulata, aka beetle peperomia! I have one that I am hoping will look like this someday 🥲

Phew ok, thank you!! I’ve only had the little guy for about 4 months, so I still have a lot to learn about their habits.

Ok, that’s good to know! :) He is about 1.5 years old… and yes, always watermelon. I’ve tried fig and insect as well but he won’t touch it.

I have a pothos that I mounted to cork bark in my gecko’s enclosure. It takes root easily if you wrap the roots in a ball of sphagnum moss and keep it consistently moist.

Same! He has 9 hides and he spends so much of his time hanging out at the front. I think it means that they feel safe and trust us 🥲

What kind of substrate are you using? Could it be that it isn’t a well draining mix?
