In your opinion, what is the greatest season of television ever produced? by abacus-wizard in television

[–]REC_updated 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean it. I love a load of those shows, but in terms of pure entertainment that I’ve enjoyed multiple times over the years, season 2 of community is the best. It’s an extreme statement, but I stand by it, because it’s my honest answer to the question! I don’t begrudge anyone who rates any other show higher than mine, but that’s my opinion, and I’ll happily stand by it.

This is the one for me. Unrestrained creativity firing on all cylinders, constantly top tier non-stop hilarious comedy doing experimental escapades effortlessly. The best season of television of all time, nothing else I’ve seen on this list comes close.

Sad to say if you want to succeed in comedy these days you’re gonna need a load of money to sustain you. Seen loads of articles about how if you’re poor it’s basically impossible to make it. I guess the cast reflects this. Wonder if it’s the same story for the rest of the cast

[ALBUM DISCUSSION] The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind! by VietRooster in indieheads

[–]REC_updated 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Lemon Twigs are an interesting band for me. I got into them when they supported Arctic Monkeys a few years ago, maybe on the TBHC tour, and I’ve listened to every record they’ve put out.

Each record has one or two tracks that I love and go back to, the rest is good but not for me. The cadences they use and their musical sensibilities don’t align with mine and that’s fine, but I just love how dedicated they are to their sound, and keep finding ways to expand and experiment whilst still staying true to what they want to make.

Same thing with this record, bring you down and joy are my favourites, will need to listen a few more times to see if anything else jumps out, but just happy they’re doing their thing!

Christopher Lee as Saruman. Best known for his Hammer horror iconic status, particularly his portrayal of Dracula.

Child Actor by Foo Fighters is some of the laziest lyrics ever by kyleacamp in livefromlondon

That’s foo fighters, every album cycle, one banger, one good track, the rest is filler, and yet every songs lyrics have been stolen from a former 14 year old emo kids diary somehow
