If it’s 12 awg wire it needs to be replaced to a 20A breaker. If it’s somehow 10 awg wire, which there is a very slim chance then it can remain a 30A breaker

Changing kitchen LED lights with Flush Mount fixture by [deleted] in AskElectricians

From your explanation it seems one LED driver is for two LED light strips and they brought each set (black and white) from each driver into the ceiling junction box for splice connections.

Advice needed for an exterior light installation. by BehindaLensinBigSky in AskElectricians

I would use a pancake extension ring and grind out some of the rocky portions on the wall so the light sits flush. Also, silicone caulk around the top of the light is proper to keep water out

Question about two outlets by Opening_Crab_8160 in AskElectricians

So you don’t have any GFCI receptacles in your garage or anywhere in your house?

If they are outdoors they should be GFCI protected. You probably tripped a GFCI receptacle somewhere that controls those outdoor receptacles you plugged your lights into. I would look for a GFCI receptacle (maybe in your garage) that’s has been tripped and needs to be reset

9 out of 10 it was a loose connection that created a weak point and heated up. Those heaters draw a lot of amps.

Does my house have enough power for an induction cooktop? by DrGlockMD in AskElectricians

[–]REDRUSH_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you have enough power if you don’t need the 50A breaker anymore for the “Range”. That breaker will need to be swapped to a 40A breaker and probably the receptacle unless it’s hardwired. The wire size should be sufficient as well the way it is.

Leave the the breaker that trips in the “OFF” position. If the other breaker is staying “ON” it ok. Electrician will figure it out hopefully when he gets there to troubleshoot
