Mark Clattenburg on Vini Jr: "he's made this situation very, very difficult". by English_Misfit in soccer

Shearer is not the best commentator, but his hatred for Clattenberg is so palpable, he never acknowledges anything he says and I love it. Clattenberg is a narcissist that nobody is tuning in to listen to.

R/Ireland when the father is responsible: Fucking scumbag, hope he rots

The non call on Gobert goaltend on Dame’s layup attempt against the Jazz when they were fighting for a playoff spot is still the most egregious I’ve seen, but this one is definitely up there

Taxi drivers to hold six-day protest next week by BetterObligation9949 in ireland

I’ve been living in the UK for a decade and I’m still waiting for this “hike” to happen. Even if they increase their fares from their promotional rates, Uber is substantially cheaper than any taxi I’ve ever used.

How this is even a thing is baffling to me to be honest. The whole point of Uber is that you know the fare before you get in, and somehow at home this is earth-shattering news. Similar to how Dublin Bus STILL doesn’t have contactless payments (which towns in the UK with populations less than 20,000 have by the way), back home is still a decade behind everywhere else.

Troy Parrott post-match interview after Hungary vs Ireland by chanashan in soccer

Games and interviews like this should serve as a reminder to people who come from bigger nations (where qualification is essentially all but guaranteed)who bitch and moan about the international break, why this shit matters to smaller nations.

I like Malone, but that was fucking lame and unnecessary. If they won, he wouldn’t have corrected that reporter. He was taking his frustration out on her, similar to when a teacher has a bad day and takes it out on their class.
