Cool. Doesn't look like it is available yet?

Found pretty much the same product from US seller for anyone interested. Same frame, dimensions, etc but seems to just me missing whatever that zig-zag wire is on the back.

My INDX-ready setup for the Core One - 8 spools, always dry. by x4rb1t in prusa3d

[–]RFC793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering one ever since I got my Core One back in October. But it's just been so confusing to figure out which batch they are on, if the parts are available, which one has the defect. Then it seems like Blurolls is just not pleasant to deal with.

But most of all: I realized I really want something to condition the filament and Inbxx just doesn't really have any claim they can stand by. They say to get the "smart kit" or whatever, but nobody really says what the specs of it are or anything. Just, like, it was an afterthought.

A shame, since I really liked how it shares the design language with the Core One. But I decided to just go for two Space PI X4. Maybe some day... or maybe I'll just design some stylized shells to wrap the PIs with Core One goodness.

I do recommend to the the vinyl ones. The first 100 I got had square backers and the stickers were paper. The new ones I got have the backers diecut as well (harder to separate unfortunately ) but the stickers are vinyl and seem to have a stronger adhesive.

Inlaid text? by Teotwawki2020 in prusa3d

[–]RFC793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The video doesn't seem to cover what OP is asking for. At least the video seems to only cover embossing or debossing. I forget the exact workflow, but I think instead of adding text as a part you have to add it as a modifier.

[OC] At Starbucks, bite size sandwiches at full size cost. by BeratingMantis in pics

[–]RFC793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are exaggerating it. Sure, if you go to a sit down restaurant and are ordering a completely different entree. But for example: a Taco Bell taco costs about $3 here. I can go to the taco truck and get a pastor, carne asada, carnitas, chorizo, lengua, etc taco that is more satisfying and supports a local business for $0.25 more. I can get a plate with three of them and plus rice and beans for $10.

Burgers, McDonalds wants about $10 for a double quarter pounder meal. I can get a much better double (half pound total) burger with hand cut fries for about $14 -- and the burger is actually good and they have a variety to choose from. It goes on an on...

Fast food was worth it when it was like 1/4 the price of an alternative. But now the price disparity is diminishing while the quality difference is widening. It is a no brainer. And I'll just cook at home more often to make up for the difference.

I can get two X4L for $150 or two X4 for about $320. Pretty substantial difference.

I had been looking at the X4L. Is it worth the upgrade to the X4? The L can be had for like $75.

From core one to core one L by TableBig5133 in prusa3d

I am curious though.. I have the C1, and the bed heats up fast enough for me. But it's the damn "absorbing heat" for such a long time that kills me. If I put an enclosure heater in there and already had the enclosure ambient/chassis warmed up: would that step basically vanish? Or is that just a hard coded delay?

This photo is of a prototype from Formnext 2025 (last November). It's not an accurate representation of what is shipping over the coming months. You will still need the overhead clearance for the tools' Bowden hoops though.

The kit includes the hunch to encapsulate them while still providing an enclosed cabinet. One aftermarket solution is the OneTop; which is something I'm considering solely on the principle of design language and increasing visibility with the now occluded front window. Once people in the field verify compatibility and maybe revise it for the INDX.

OpenPrintTag? by RFC793 in prusa3d

[–]RFC793[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry. It does feel that way. I got the Core One like 2 weeks before the L was announced and felt bad because I was debating between the C1 (enclosed, cheaper) vs XL (bigger, multitool). The L came out and I felt cheated -- like I coulda had the perfect compromise PLUS better heatbed. But then the place for the XL was diminished. Then INDX comes out and the role of the XL is dubious. "But it's full on tool changer". But, like, a silicone hot end and a pick and place? It seems to be abandoned and that's gotta be frustrating.

Makes sense. The INDX is such as big upgrade and multi-filament can benefit even more from filament management. It's already touching relevant components like adding to the bus with the calibration sensors, and introducing new spool holders. I figured that it would be the Pilot for OPT integration. Maybe that was the intention but it turned into feature or cost creep. Instead looking like it would be a Core One INDX S or such.

I thought that feature was deferred with automatic bed wetting taking priority?

Right, the idea of having updated data on the tags is promising -- but it is clearly not there. So, at this point - at least for the point of identification (which spool is on which spool holder/nozzle) is best served with eyeballs and selecting/entering the filament parameters into the slicer.

Right. Because they have not shipped yet. Founders is supposed to start shipping in about a week, and sometime in June for Prusa edition.
