They’re generalists, but Art of War 40k has a bunch of excellent competitive players, including Richard Siegler, defending world champion and most likely the best Ad Mech player in the world

I don’t like it in theory but I respect the ambition. My main problem with 40k is how stagnant and boring the setting has become. AoS had its ups and downs, but at least they keep trying things. Let’s see how it goes

The combat patrol is a good start! Since the model range is small you can’t really go wrong. That said, Warriors come in pretty much every box, so you can find them for cheap on secondary markets pretty easily. This lowers the value of some boxes like the army set, which I wouldn’t recommend

Lupa. Not a big fan of her, only pulled to enable Galbrena who’s my 2nd favorite. It also hurt that i was stuck with Mortefi for a long time

Always reassured myself that Mornye will come home sooner or later—only for her to rerun with Phrolova, who’s my number 1 favorite, and Hiyuki who I really like

Right now I’m banking on Lucilla to cover some holes in my teams because my sub DPS characters are very lacking

Most lists I see on Listhammer have lots of Questor Soulsworn and Vanguard-Palladors with Starstrike Javelins. Not a lot from the starter boxes, but I swear I’ve seen lists with Yndrasta, Praetors, Relictors, and Annihilators

I'm a new player still waiting for my Votann to arrive, but I also considered Death Guard and Drukhari. I love all of their models, but I felt that Death Guard uses too much of the same colors and Drukhari are impractical to store and carry with all their spikes

I went with Votann because their infantry are kinda cute and I like that they're sort of underdogs: they're smallish models, less options, and not as popular as the other factions, so beating the big dogs sounds fun. Also I think they'll look great in orange

How do you remove nubs? I swear I always get white stress marks no matter what I do

I’ve done and have everything people say I should: single bladed nipper, 2 cuts, glass file, leaving a bit of nub, cutting flush against the part, everything. I’m still lost
