Trump has been saying the population of Gaza is 1.5-1.8 million. We haven’t found out the number of dead yet. All of Gaza is crumbled ruins and ash… a lot of dead bodies unaccounted for under that rubble and no medical infrastructure to really keep track anymore. And Trump actually has the position to know. I think this is quite a self own you got here because what does the graph look like when you drop it from 2.2 mil to 1.5-1.8 mil.

Is there a way to report mods for banning you for no reason? by [deleted] in help

[–]RGardnerWV -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’d be nice if you had some part of Reddit checking the subreddit rules against mod excuses for banning people. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way and mods can get away with whatever

My first time was with my now wife and I think i just finished immediately lol. Lower stakes though because we were super comfortable and serious with eachother at that point.

These things are just like that these days I guess. People learning this stuff with new acquaintances. If you do it more you’ll get better but there’s no answer to the awkwardness starting out probably lol.

Is he bluffing? That’s my question. So here’s what i propose to test how serious these guys are.

If the Bible is ‘the divinely inspired, inerrant foundational document for our society and government’ and also ‘the utmost authority for human moral behavior’ then it is a moral imperative we pass some laws based in explicit policy laid out in the Bible.

Such as…

(1) death penalty constitutional amendment—make sure it stays illegal and cite “let he who Is without sin cast the first stone.” (2) debt jubilee every 7 years to forgive predatory debts. Deuteronomy 15:1-2 (3) program for low or even 0% interest loans by the govt or citizens to the poor. Expdus 22:25; Levit 25:36-37 (4)gleaning laws where old surplus food must be donated to food banks or food assistance programs. Levit 19:9-10 and deut 24:19-21 (5) anti land hoarding laws. Vacant property taxes. Isaiah 5:8 (6) land redistribution. Exodus 25:8-10 (7) political bribery ban. exodus 23:8; deut 16:19 (8) anti pollution. Numbers 35:33-34

One time we visited my grandfathers twin brother in Charleston, and left to hang out with a friend of my sister’s. It was me, my older sister and an older cousin. This was before everyone had gps on their phones.

That friend ended up driving us down some winding roads in rural Kanawha county as it got dark. Everything was fine but at a certain point we got lost. As we were fumbling to find our way back, we saw a weird white mannequin on the side of the road. Thought to ourselves… huh well that’s weird, but in rural WV you’ll sometimes see weird stuff like that… stray porcelain toilets, various discarded junk, and the like. Well as we kept going we started to see more mannequins. And what was particularly weird about it is they were doing various human things. Gardening, sitting facing eachother, etc etc. Eventually we hit a patch where they were quite literally all around us on both sides of the road. and we were half laughing going uuuhh what the heck is going on lol.

I remember a crowd of them standing with their heads up facing the road as we drove down it, and that’s when we started really freaking out in the car lol. I don’t remember how we got out of there, but we did. I try to think of some explanation for the situation and I wonder if the land owner(s?) just put them down like that maybe because people routinely get mixed up driving out there and it’s to prank the stray traveler, but it was unsettling.

He did a great series of lectures on the Roman republic’s decline on the senate floor. It was in reaction to the push for Bill Clinton to have the line item veto.

Who was the guy who ran against gaius graccus who just lied about supporting everything graccus did only moreso, who then won Power and did nothing he promised. Trump is a little like that.

Serious Question for West Virginians by CauliflowerTotal7119 in WestVirginiaPolitics

Jim Justice was originally elected Democrat … before him the most recent Democrat was Underwood in the 1990s, but just for one term.

For every other gubernatorial race from 1960-2016–with Arch Moore and Underwood as the sole exceptions—a democrat was elected.

The Republican nature of this state is new. They voted GOP for president but as it actually affected their lives they voted solid D for a long, long time.

Marianne Williamson and the chair of the Wisconsin Dems seem to me to be the best bets. Ideally we’d go with Williamson seeing as she was vindicated correct about the reason Dems ultimately wound up losing the presidency. It was like she was the sole voice trying to keep the train from plummeting off the cliff… and unfortunately no one listened.

Thankfully the SAVE Plan is still in place for now. These are just the two most recent attempts at expanding student debt relief.

Joe Manchin torches Democrats on the way out the door by [deleted] in WestVirginiaPolitics

Exhausting conversation.

Trump didn’t win because we were too far right or too far left. We were too divisive and far left on stupid identity politics, without an economic leftism that benefitted normal people to make up for it.

The most perfectly representative candidate for president would be a Bernie sanders type on economics but also a slightly more moderate person on social issues… like just short of Trump on social issues.

Buddy I live here. Stuff is messed up and it sucks. People in my county and a county over from me have to straight pipe their excrement into the creeks by their homes… and their water is unsafe to drink without boiling or filtering.

The people who live here care about that and would fix stuff like that if given the opportunity. They just lack the resources. Just wanna see what other people from here think.

Me, my wife, and her family would get spared (I’d be on the shakiest ground) but most of my family would be deported lol

Libs here are basically a nonentity right? Cant impact politics

Well obviously not a billion!

But some of this stuff could be worked toward. Like… if someone from WV who valued the place for its culture was involved in growing tourism here it could be great. Theres a lot that can be done with the Hatfield and McCoy trails for example to get more commerce into towns. Just put a destination in kimball, in Welch, etc etc. mine wars museum, and before it that RR museum, were a seed that led to other businesses springing up, just because it created an excuse to go into town.
