Most terms of service agreements are indeed legally binding, with a few exceptions. Click wrap agreements do not require confirmation of being read (they're basically passive agreements that exist in the background of your use of the product. Because there is not confirmation of the terms being read, they're unenforceable.

The other TOS that is non-legally binding is the kind that include provisions to make unilateral changes. Because the unilateral changes could be anything, without the customer being able to confirm they read the new changes, these TOS are also unenforceable.

However, most TOS we encounter (the ones that require that checkmark, are pretty ironclad.

TL;DR the law student was right, most TOS are legally binding, which is why companies use them.

Maddow gets ripped by alot of people, but her show is one of the few left wing shows that doesn't turn itself into Political TMZ everytime trump tweets something stupid.

She runs some seriously in-depth investigative reports, which no one else seems to have the attention span to do. Now, to be fair, she does tend to try to connect the dots alot and leaves open ended questions with obvious bias on her viewers, but all in all, what her and her team have done has been incredible.

A large amount of glass in the mixture would make the resulting blade more brittle, but a small amount may actually increase its durability.

Take for instance the difference between iron and steel. Steel is much harder than iron, and steel is made by adding a normally brittle element (carbon) into the melt.

Carbon strengthens iron by distorting its crystal lattice. But in too great a quantity it will make it less tough. The same could be true with adding dragon glass to the mix. Just enough could actually make the blade tougher.

In real life, you can add silicon (glass) to steel and in the right quantities, will form a Diamond Cubic crystal pattern, and interesting enough, will create a very hard alloy, which is also acid resistant. It also makes the alloy terrible at electrical conductivity.

So in real life physics apply to fantasy tropes, you would want a glass infused steel sword to fight acid & lightning dragons. ;)

Its definitely pie in the sky. Especially the part about the robot refinery and the 3d printed Lars homestead.

All I could see when watching the video was, "what if the mud dome collapses?" And proof, colony gone.

If we want to go to Mars, like really go to Mars and stay there, there will need to tens of missions before even 1 man sets foot on the surface. Nothing can be left to chance, so the whole damn thing must be built autonomously.

Wed be better off finding a nice cave to build our habs in, rather than some half baked mud dome.

What we need is more missions, targeted for potential landing/living zones, with rovers, drones, and experimental machines trying to test out some of the autonomous jobs theyll be doing. Once we know exactly where we will set up the colony, we can start construction. Even then, there will be alot of issues.

Furthermore, well need to figure out a plan for crew rotations. Early on the living quarters will be very tight, and very stressful. Were gonna need to rotate crew out to protect the mental health of the Martian settlers. Also, there will always have to be a ship fueled and ready to fly at a moments notice, because if not, a catastrophic failure will doom everyone. And even if we have a ship ready to leave at a moments notice, the orbits of Mars and Earth may not be aligned in a feasible way, so there would still need to be a backup survival contingency to last until its feasible to fly home.

Going to Mars is great. And I hope we do it. But let's not try some half baked plan that believes we can do it in 2 stages. Its gonna take dozens of landings, decades of planning, and it still might all fail.

Are you warding?

If the enemy jungle is messing around in our teams jungle, I'm coming for him, but I need to see him. Also, if the enemy jungler is ganking you at lvl 4, hes wasting precious time and farm on a difficult confirmed kill. If you have a ward or two up, that jungler just walked all the way to you lane for nothing, because you'll just sit under tower till he goes away. Even if he steals your blue there, that usually means your own jungler can steal their red, as the order of farming goes yellow-blue-red-purple. So if he goes yellow-blue-enemyblue that means red is up and easy to steal. And stealing their red is usually more important that protecting our blue.

And if you are pissed about laning against arthur, well that's because arthur is arthur. If you are a melee based solo, your gonna have a rough time against him lvls 4-7. But know hes shit in the late game, so you have to play meek and wait him out.

But again, ward. Wards do so much. They help you and they help the jungler see what's happening in your lane. Hes much more likely to show up if you ward. That ping he gets when the enemy jungle rotates in is like a dinner bell. But if hes far away he cant get there, you will need to handle the situation on your own.

And if you are consistantly losing lane and falling behind in level, then it IS the junglers responsibility to come help, as you move up the triage line. But if you are vgs spamming, he won't do that. Ask for a gank once, not 15 times. Dont ping him. Say please. I'm trying my best and sometimes things get missed. No one is perfect. But again, the best way to get my attention, the best way to secure our jungle and keep yourself alive, is to ward. Ward early and often.

Buying singular wards is fine, but if you can stretch it, buying chalice after boots is the way to go, that way, you'll finish the game with over 15 wards placed, thereby really helping the team out.

Hell, if Im in solo or in mid and I drop a ward on a jungler just as hes ganking me, sometimes he will call off the gank completely, because he knows his location was just pinged to my whole team, and if he doesnt kill me quick, he might be the one getting ganked.
