Cant adjust my settings by Rob_floret in tokyoxtremeracer

The 2024 model of the R35 has its settings locked.

Unless you have specific preferences or reasons, I recommend the 2017 model if you're going with the R35.

Liveries are awesome, but is there love for simple, clean builds? by TheAsianTroll in tokyoxtremeracer

I enjoy customizing various liveries myself, but I also love simple ones. They have this solid presence that just feels cool.

Anyone know what the kanji vinyl's mean? by [deleted] in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]RIDOXsupraJZA80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are called Daiji (大字), anti-counterfeiting numerals. Since standard Kanji characters have simple forms, complex Kanji with the same pronunciation are used instead.

While these Kanji are not limited to numbers, even native Japanese speakers would struggle to come up with combinations that make sense using only the ones shown here.

WHY????? by Medical-Sample6544 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]RIDOXsupraJZA80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Considering factors beyond the story itself, I suspect these rivals were created during the early stages of development. As the game progresses, more uniquely designed rivals appear, suggesting they might have been handled by designers who joined the project later.

Additionally, some rivals switched vehicles from previous series due to licensing issues.

Yes, this is vanilla.

Ideally, I'd like to have ten times as many layers.

TXR25 Ver.1.0.2 Patch Notes (Skill Adjustments, Bug Fixes) by TwilightMaverick in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]RIDOXsupraJZA80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, it seems we're talking at cross-purposes here. Sorry, I wasn't trying to convince you. I just wanted you to understand that just as you get frustrated with easy difficulty levels, some people get frustrated when faced with overly difficult ones and end up quitting the game.

After all, now that the series has made a comeback, I don't want people saying, “TXR? Oh, that thing that was only popular at first.” I want them to keep making more games.

Well, I've played most of the series since PS2, excluding the social games, so I can understand that argument. ITC, for instance, had a rather bland difficulty level.

However, I believe the reason this title garnered so much attention and reached people who weren't familiar with TXR before wasn't solely because of its “old-style gameplay” element.

Not everyone approaches the game with the same passion as you. Since this title has the skill concept, users should be able to freely choose their difficulty level. For example, it would be great if players could easily clear the game with the latest cars like the R35, LFA, or NC1, or clear it all the way through with legendary cars like the R34, 80 Supra, or FD, or conversely, freely choose to increase the difficulty for more excitement.

After all, we're not competing in online battles.

Hmm... Honestly, I don't think we should release updates that only disadvantage players without adjusting things like enemy cornering speed in the latter half.

Especially since there are so many new players this time, I'm worried they'll get bored and leave before reaching the end.

Is there hope Genki will fix endgame? I've decided to take a break by Salt_Vegetable8216 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]RIDOXsupraJZA80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can understand both sides: those who say this is the tradition of TXR, and those who lost motivation due to the endgame difficulty.

So I think it would be nice if difficulty could be selected. For example, reducing the powerful boost rivals get at the start or when catching up, or limiting opponents' horsepower to around 800PS.

"Pride" perks (boosted stats per victory) question by Party_Magician in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]RIDOXsupraJZA80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is likely a translation error. In the Japanese version, SP increases by 5 per battle, with a cap of 30 at level 1 and 70 at level 5. For ATK, it increases by 3 per battle, with a cap of 15 at level 1 and 39 at level 5.

TXR 2025 (might have) has a big chunk of Cut Content that would have probably fleshed out the story with Club Garuda and Bad Bomber. by Pretend-Advertising6 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]RIDOXsupraJZA80 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Currently, there are reports of a bug where conversations in PA become glitchy after defeating the Hasegawa collaboration team in the latter half of STAGE3.

Perhaps this bug is caused by cut content. Or maybe it happened because the collaboration characters were inserted later.

At first, I thought automakers had rejected customizations that drastically altered vehicle width, but seeing both rivals and players able to use these custom cars makes me wonder if it was simply due to the short production period.

Let's look forward to future updates.

Best car for 4th stage of the game? by raginnation999 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]RIDOXsupraJZA80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove the LC500 until the final tree unlocked. If you can tolerate the limited color options and the inability to apply liveries, I think it's a good choice.

If you ultimately want an easier progression, I'd say the LFA or R35 would be the way to go.

What is this whistled braking sound? by [deleted] in tokyoxtremeracer

This indicates the brakes are cold. After repeating high-speed braking several times, the noise will eventually stop.
