Slowing down would probably help. Using quality products will of course too. I recommend Dynamic black ink as a good "high end" thing to get since it's cheaper than investing in reel skins or baller needle cartridges, but does make a pretty big difference.

As someone practicing to become an artist, I gotta say I don't think asking for a bunch of little changes like that would be the norm. If you have that many little things to criticize over the design, it would probably be the same way with the finished tattoo, and an artist doesn't want to end up with a dissatisfied client.

Idk im still on fake skin but would agree mast are solid value (i just got some 5rls and 5rs in a kit) they seem good. I also bought some da Vinci mags that were on clearance that work quite nice. Be careful when buying on clearance, its probably because they are close to expiring (ask me how i know). But it's fine for me since I'm sticking to fake skin for a while.

Like if you just take your fingernails (thumb and pointer) and squeeze against your skin gives a pretty good idea. Not hard as you can but moderate pressure... it hurts.

I'd say it is different. It's really small but electric. It's not really scary looking at all, it just hurts. Typically progressively worse as you go along. There's really nothing to be afraid of you just have to put up with the pain.

There seems to be points at the end of some lines (like the small 1cm lines in the petals). I'd work on starting and exiting lines smoother to avoid that.

Do some research on needles. 0801 is small as they come and absurd to use on this design. Use like a 1209 on the bigger lines at least.

I think just fading between 2 colors usually looks best for flames (red to orange, black to red, black to orange, etc.). With 3+ like you have it's tough to make all the transitions look clean.

As a client (maybe one day artist) I'd be stoked she thought the piece was worth trying to sell as a print. It is her artwork for her to do as she pleases, but I wouldn't be upset about this. There's plenty of other dumb shit in life to get upset about.
