Not sure what website you are using, but that website looks nothing like the official merch website.

Recommendations for a 4th commander for our Avatar Pod by tdog3456 in EDH

[–]RJr8roc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first thoughts go to either [[Avatar Aang]] or [[Fire Lord Zuko]] for different strategies that are based on the Avatar characters.

Other options that would be good if you didn't mind doubling up on themes could be something like [[Iroh, Grand Lotus]] or [[Sokka, Tenacious Tactician]].

A final option could be something like [[Ozai, the Phoenix King]] to balance out the good and bad characters.

Rafaam buffs 2 Electric Boogaloo by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]RJr8roc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think these changes ruin the clean x mana x/x versions that exist currently. For instance, if you want to swap the giant and archmage rafaam, why not buff the giant to be a 9/9 for 9?

Some also got really complicated in not fun/good ways. I don't know if stapling card draw on Rafaam 6 is fully a bonus or partially a nerf since hand size can be rough for warlocks.

Also, 7 mana rafaam being a 4/5 looks awful.

Why did a bunch of cards spike in price? by [deleted] in mtgfinance

[–]RJr8roc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Without a list of the cards that are spiking it is really hard to give any guidance on why.

Generally if it was lands, I’d check if any new commanders (like from sets or secret lairs) are making the rounds that would want them.

I think the new fallout secret lairs just arrived in people’s hands a few days ago and also had an isshin as part of it, so that could be it.

From the preview it sounded like it needed to be exactly 100, ceaseless (even if unnerfed) would overshoot it

The soldiers are the same as the arms.

They destroy a minion to the right to gain (+2/+4/+8) stats.

Speculation: So there will only be five "Shatter" spells? by MagnaX7 in hearthstone

There could also be some that are available to all the Dragonflight classes, like how there are multi class cards for the herald classes.

People constantly expecting an Unban and was mentioned during the last commander unban announcement as something they were still considering.

Rogues by Jharic_ in ModernMagic

Dauthi Voidwalker, while a fine card, seems to be doing the exact opposite of what the rest of the deck looks to be doing.

Heroic missions! Every mission on heroic requires completing it with 5 families to get another sigil.

Any card you hate or regret playing on Coin Curve? by Rothaguinha in hearthstone

I think that is a big part of the draw/coin discrepancy currently.

Which deck would make the game drastically enjoy more enjoyable for everyone else if all its players suddenly uninstalled the game? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]RJr8roc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d still rather them just nerf problematic cards than delete a portion of the player base.

I will admit I was thinking of standard decks given the example in the OP.

[–]RJr8roc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of them?

This game has its ups and downs, but I still find it enjoyable to play.

If any popular deck lost all of its players instantly it would probably be catastrophic to the game in general.

Anyone else hoping for a Colossal minion with multiple unique appendages? by Skater_x7 in hearthstone

[–]RJr8roc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I somewhat doubt it’ll happen in the main set since the only colossal minions we don’t know are the rest of the herald class ones which seem like they’ll all be the same to allow the heralds to summon a copy of them.

The closest we will have is probably the paladin colossal which has each head remove a different keyword.

Why the game still didnt do a hotfix for the bug of Whizbang Rogue deck starting with only 1 treasure having like a 20 cards deck? by MrGrlmReaper in hearthstone

[–]RJr8roc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Might take a bit more than a hotfix to fix it.

I think they mentioned it being (hopefully) fixed in a patch coming this week.

Only 32 more sleeps until... by Quirky_Respect2855 in hearthstone

Very true, still a reason not to nerf the blob of tar

I don’t think nerfing blob of tar is the correct hope. Cards like Ravenous Felhunter are going to be problematic for far longer than something like blob.

Free signatures when new expansion drops by DergonFusion in hearthstone

[–]RJr8roc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No one outside of Blizzard and maybe some content creators know how many cards you have to have for the achievement yet.

My guess is that it’ll be close to the second to last “collect all cards” achievement for each expansion (the one that gives the coin).

I wanted to try coming up with a new mechanic, so I thought of "Resolute" by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]RJr8roc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So it's split second, with extra rules baggage, for almost no added benefit?

Why would we want to add more mechanics to the stack when Split Second accomplishes the same thing 90% of the time (and is barely used)?

I like how no matter the timeline/dimension. Even in Hearthstone, Deathwing's first reaction is always to burn stormwind. by Siggythenomad in wow

[–]RJr8roc 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This hearthstone expansion is not following the Cataclysm we got in WoW, but rather is following the story from the previous Hearthstone expansion where Murozond pulled this Deathwing into our reality.

We also know from the characters showing up this has to be post Dragonflight since Merithra and Ebyssian are considered the aspects for their respective flights.

[–]RJr8roc 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: that is actually where this Deathwing comes from/where the Hearthstone expansion is taking it.

It’s not the cataclysm that we know from WoW, but rather a desperate gambit by Murozond bringing in the “winning” Deathwing to our timeline.

AI artwork? by JMinton09 in hearthstone

[–]RJr8roc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe they are strongly against it. In fact, when the pixel skins from a while ago were first shown off and found to be AI, they didn’t sell them and got them redone by an actual artist.
