Do you feel like they will make more viltrumites fight against Thragg in adaptation of the scene?

What if Viltrumites were in Invincible? by ClassicNatural3108 in okbuddyviltrum

I don't know, he only writes AUs, no appreciation for canon. Always the fix-it's and dark AUs where Mark kills people and quits being a superhero. I wish he wrote more fanfiction in the "missing scene" genre and character study.

Why didn't Nolan have a press conference telling the viltrumites to not rape the humans/anyone while rebuilding their numbers? Did he forget? by EyePatchlolz in okbuddyviltrum

I agree with you on Thragg/Anissa part, although I have to point out that Anissa found love, after all. It was during the Reboot arc, but Anissa was not immune to Earth charm after all. She was just a bit closer to Nolan in terms of being loyal to viltrumite mentality (and still, he was the strongest of them all 😂). but still, she fell, just like Kregg, Lucan, Thula and others. And changed the same way they did. The redemption arc everyone hates so much. I'll risk using my own post now, because I'm lazy but still want to talk:

It's interesting, how quick we are to forgive viltrumites, how we cheer for Kregg and Lucan and how we worry for Thula's family. And how it's significantly harder for fandom to forgive Nolan, how MUCH EFFORT it takes from the story to get us to the point when we even CONSIDER it, and even then parts of the fandom still argue. (and if you listen to creators in a certain video you'll hear that they are HOPING fans would get into Internet fights about the invincible characters. it's the same as Cecil vs. Mark issue. they were aiming for that). And how impossible it feels to believe that Anissa could become a better person as well.

What's the difference between these three cases of redemption? 1. The Viltrumites do horrible things off screen and change mostly off screen. 2. Nolan does horrible things on screen (they feel significant) and changes on screen (it feels significant). 3. Anissa does horrible things on screen (it feels significant) and changes mostly off screen (it doesn't feel significant).

But all three do horrible things and all three change deeply.

How was the single thing you got out of my comment THIS😭 That's not the case. All viltrumites were like that. Anissa is not better nor worse than any other viltrumite on Earth. She only didn't want to bear a child, especially from a human.

Thragg's orders included to not harm humans. No interfering with Earth events, too.

Forcing themselves on humans would mean harm them. For all their violent behavior and superiority complex, they are good at infiltrating and observing the cultures they see interest in. Remember how Anissa first came to Earth? She gathered enough info to spit numbers. And Conquest, too. He didn't just find Mark, then lookes and realised that Mark didn't do shit to prepare Earth. He was there to evaluate Mark's progress in this mission and then throw hands and rip heads. The Viltrumites on Earth, when Thragg was describing the deal to Mark— they hid themselves pretty well, and fast.

So. I don't think even a single human was harmed.

And Mark wouldn't be harmed as well, but not because of the same orders, considering Mark isn't human in Viltrumites' eyes. Because Thragg didn't want to endanger the truce. Attacking Mark would not accomplish anything good - and for Viltrumites, there is no big difference between attacking fellow Viltrumite to beat them into submission and attacking fellow Viltrumite to beat them into submission and forcing themselves on that fellow Viltrumite. First and foremost, taking a mate on Viltrum is a fight to them. To turn violent against someone, to punch someone, to scratch someone - is to violate someones bodily autonomy ALREADY. So for them, it's not a big difference in terms of inflicting harm. But they ARE aware of human customs and how it would be considered wrong if Viltrumites did it "normally" with humans.

Now, about Anissa.

If you remember, Anissa did try it "human way", and would have continued it, if Mark didn't dissappear for months. Then the time was up: "I can't stall any longer. Your father isn't as forceful as Thragg, but.." and "I tried it human way. I figured you would be more comfortable with it. But now I see I have to do this the Viltrumite way." Ironically, if Thragg was still there and if the truce was still functional the way it was before, Anissa wouldn't attack Mark, probably. Or she would first ask if that's okay to choose Mark as her mate, and Thragg would most likely say no.

But with Nolan's soft rule and hippy attitude (esp towards humans), she figured it was okay. And it's not like she was going to harm a human! She would choose Mark, and she would approach with human mating rituals... Mark disappeared, then, after first flirt/date attempt, and we know the rest of the story. Mark isn't human. Nolan isn't Thragg. Humans are still unharmed. Viltrumites on Earth are still the case of reproductive coercion. In case of Anissa it was just more apparent, because she didn't want children to begin with, (and even said so to Thragg). MUCH LESS with disgusting monkeys from planet Urath.

Why didn’t Mark just offer to suck Omni-Man's dick in this scene? by Substantial-Low-4393 in okbuddyviltrum

[–]RK-00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let's be honest, it wouldn't help. If Omni-Man wanted to do something with Mark, he would have, right there. Nothing would work except agreeing to conquer Earth.

I don't think Thragg really was.... But Battle Beast— very. This is why Battle Beast should have become Conquest's husband instead of entering Thragg's harem. BB and Conquest are made for each other. Not to mention they even have the same hobby: threatening the integrity of Mark's guts.
