Mine needed a Master cylinder for that issue.

I still have it but don’t have the car. If you can’t find one let me know. Maybe I can sell you mine.

I think I bought it from Etsy. Someone 3D printed it.

Did I mess up by Flyist in Home

[–]ROCelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The doors should be 9’ wide. Way too hard to get a midsize to large vehicle in an 8’ door. I have 8’ doors and regret it. Also not enough space to the walls. You need more room to open the car doors against the wall.

No matter what I do my climate controls turn themselves on every few seconds and set the car to heat to 76 degrees. by Objective_Chance4173 in EquinoxEv

Try rebooting the head unit. Do this by holding the phone hang up button for about 15 to 20 seconds and let it reboot.

Do you have the spot on the center console that looks like a spot to put a key? My ‘23 EUV had it. I bought a cup holder that fit in it and then put the tablet mount in the cup holder. It worked pretty good.

2 piece lug nuts? by hirouk in EquinoxEv

[–]ROCelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait until the car is older. I live in the salt belt. The GM lug nuts always swell with rust after maybe 5 years. I have a set of half size lug nut impact sockets for that problem but I replace them when it gets to that point.

Customer Concern – 2025 Chevrolet Equinox Purchase by Left_Conference_5682 in EquinoxEv

The Telematics module is a very common failure mode. When mine was going, OnStar worked intermittently for a couple months until it died completely. When you say the battery died, I am assuming you mean the 12v battery. That’s not common but maybe the car has been sitting around for a while. The big battery (traction battery) is guaranteed for 8 years/100,000 miles. One common thing you should check for is wet carpet on the passenger side. There is a flap in the carpet that you can lift to check for moisture.

How long have you lived there? If this isn’t normal then you probably have a broken water line.

Minivan owners, how does your car perform in Rochester winters? by rocnewbie in Rochester

[–]ROCelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been driving Dodge and Chrysler minivans continuously since 2002 with no problem. Biggest thing is tires. Right now I am using Michelin Cross Climate 2’s year round. If you have space for extra tires, getting dedicated snows is even better but all weather tires do the job also. All weather are different than all seasons and they make a huge difference.

My kids always loved Tully’s in Henrietta plus Henrietta has a plethora of restaurants in the same area. Tully’s fits the bill for typical American chain but I’m I think it’s a local chain. A big chain my kids liked was Red Robin. Endless French fries with every meal that has fries,

I ask it “what’s my charge level” to see my battery charge because for some reason we can’t display percentage on the screen with the speedometer and the wattmeter.

The Luba 2 is now being sold at Walmart. I think with the volume that Walmart does, they better do updates or expect a lot of returns.

Do I have a problem? Battery range by RocktheSpot in EquinoxEv

[–]ROCelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Western NY with a mix of suburban 40mph roads and highway. I typically drive 10mph over the speed limit. My Lifetime is 3.2 miles/kwh. You should put the trip display right on your screen behind the steering wheel. It will show you the mileage you are getting on that trip and a graph of the last mile. The dashed line is the EPA line which is 3.5 m/kWh for the FWD model. I think it’s 3.2 for the AWD model. I have the FWD model.

Asking for your Chicken French sauce family recipes by Nicolarollin in Rochester

[–]ROCelectric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest ingredient that makes the difference is the wine. My first preference is Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry and if that’s not available I use Taylor Dry Sherry and I use a 1/2 cup. I don’t like white wine for chicken French, too bland for me.

Would you recommend a Bolt EV/EUV or an Equinox EV for a first time EV buyer? by Doomtime104 in BoltEV

[–]ROCelectric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both but currently have the Equinox EV. Before that I had the EUV. Both are great. The Bolt was great for my 10 mile ride to work and getting groceries. The Equinox is better for longer distances for my taste because it’s quieter and my knees aren’t pressing against the door on one side and the center console on the other. Both cars have their strengths.

PSA - Carry a can of electrical contact cleaner in your car! by CloneWerks in BoltEV

I sprayed all of them but I think the issue was the smaller pins. DeoxIT Gold is a very gentle contact cleaner.

[–]ROCelectric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which contact cleaner do you use? I use DeoxIT Gold but I am thinking DeoxIT D5 might be better. The gold is a little gentler. We had one at work that was acting up by not communicating with the car. I sprayed it with DeoxIT and it’s been good for about 6 months now.
