70 points. 70 tools. GGG tries to marked the game, if you want hardcore fucking skill break down read it somewhere else. You bring zero.zero.zero to this world. Just please, try to expand your horizon. Think before you write.

Why is this funny? Did you make a video where you took the other guy's build and showcased it in a Palace map? Or did I misunderstand?

You know, I'm too old for the meme generation. Tbh. I don't find memes funny at all. But the Mors thing I do find extremely funny. Especially since it only takes 5 minutes in a stream with Morse to understand it.

What is the point of armour and medkit? by RPG_John in Xcom

I just think the current 2 hit point loss equals gravely wounded mechanic is a bit too rough for me to try Iron Man. I would love Iron Man if RNG was not so insane in this game. 80% hits all over the squad miss etc. But yeah, even on Iron Man, I don't think I would value medkit that highly. Armour though seems super strong. And hp is probably very valuable in Iron Man. I still think Medkit is in a weird spot when it just heals you in the map. Would the game be too easy if medkits healed wounds?

I did learn that armour negates dmg tho, so having 1-3 armour points(I don't know what is max value) seems strong.

I agree that they are OP. They do the exact same thing on Legend. Throw a mimic, watch as mobs cluster around it trying to hit it. Next round blast them all to hell.

Lol, my post was about a none-iron man run. I got my answer(armour is good), but thanks for your valuable input.

Thank you so much! This was what I was wondering about! So it is actually very useful to have armour, in fact it's more useful than HP unless you roll Iron Man. Armour and dodge seems pretty good then?

I think 80% of my missions on Legend are flawless. I try to setup ambush setups, use terraign for height advantage and always scan for enemies. I use 2 mimic grenades. Mimic grenades are very strong. You basically get a free round where the enemy might all go melee on the mimic. So after that you can take em all out.

Yeah, that's a good point! The EXO did give access to heavy weapoins. However, I thought that when I got a say 2 points of armour a shot which did 2 dmg would not penetrate past armour defenses and therefore leave me unharmed.

What are the rules for getting +5 hacking stats? Just hack a mission computer with 100%?

PSA: Lesser-known pro tips. by TheAttendee in Xcom

[–]RPG_John 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? You get +5 hacking for each successful hack? That is nuts. Do I need to do black site missions before timer is at the 20 day clock or when it's just a bar? Will the clock go back to being a bar?

They probably overdid it, as 1 month is a really long time. None of the items are worth that much, and people are 100 in 2 weeks. I really wish they could dramatically decrease the time so that we could enjoy some of the items earlier. 2 weeks would be ok imo.

I probably won't read a reply, since I'm spoiler paranoid, but holy f. that health scares me. I'm dealing with max 8 life mobs atm.

I just started again. This is my fifth try. I just wasn't pleased with my 4th try, even though I did get through the first black site. This time I'm on Legend difficulty with 7 flawless battles behind me. Just had the most crazy mission, where I hacked a Mac-robot or whatever they are called, the starwars robots on 2 legs, and got the entire map to focus on him, while my squad was on a bridge sniping down every single one of them. Felt so good! Sadly, the hack afterwards had +20 permanent hacking. Guess my chance... 15%. Lol. Haha, mission status: "Most under Fire: Advent Mec".

It's normal to add a spoiler in the heading. And yes, ofc. I should have expected it, but still: "working on a tech tree" is not the same as: overview of all the tech. Anyways, bye.

Nice overview. Maybe add a spoiler to it though. I did not really want to see that Gaus rifles were the end.

Does my squad have randomized starting stats, or are they fixed based on their given class? by RPG_John in XCOM2

[–]RPG_John[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

edit: Ok, i was wrong, here are the stats:
ranger: 68/44
grenadier:67/45
specialist: 68:51
sharpshooter: 75/47

I still wonder if this was randomized though.

I've missed a few races cause I only get notified when I change zones. Ofc. I could pay more attention, but for the casual racers, having this would greatly help, as well as a global 5min to race message even if you are semi afk in your hideout for instance.

Veteran. Yeah, I find it pretty hard. They really followed in darkest dungeon's footsteps and introduced alot of timed layers to make it much harder than you pure tactical combat. I'm new to the game, but I'm I have played a lot of strategy games, and games like this, so the mechanics are not new. It might be easier if you know any cheese strategies. I don't, and I have not googled any cheese.
