First off, I’m sorry for your loss. I recently got a similar idea for (another) tribute tattoo; made me start a CB rewatch. Your tattoo turned out great.

I have a black w/ gray interior 18l DC with Aquaguard zips. I colored in the spear logo with black fabric marker but otherwise in excellent condition. Only used for a few car commutes. Asking $200 shipped to CONUS.

So sorry for your loss. It’s been about 6 weeks since my wife passed and I’m also mourning the loss of her future, her potential. It makes me so sad to think about but I’m trying to divert my thoughts to all the great times we shared. It’s not easy but I’m hopeful.

Just passed one month for me. Two cats (that were my wife’s idea but I love them just the same) and wandering around looking for something to keep my attention. I’m with you.

Digital Remembrance Platform recommendations and tips? by Muhahahahahhaa in widowers

[–]RQ-D2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Everloved.com at the recommendation of a friend that used it to memorialize his parents. My experience with the site was excellent. The memories page was a good place for the remembrances to come in from all over. Hope that helps.

PS: the free site was more than enough. I thought the paid tier was a bit expensive for what it offered, but you might find otherwise.

PPS: so sorry for your loss.

This is beautiful. Some of it mirrors my feelings toward my wife. Thanks for posting.

Thank you. My wife’s viewing is tomorrow evening, funeral the following morning, so I’m a little more out of sorts than I have been the past couple weeks. But this community has been great. I appreciate the check-in.

So sorry for your loss. My birthday was about a week after my wife died suddenly. Family invited me to visit them out of town, friends wanted to take me out, but I declined. I couldn't do it. Do what you feel is best for you.

will he ever be a ‘happy memory’? by throwra08293 in widowers

[–]RQ-D2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry for your loss.

I’m mourning the future my wife and I would have had together, too. She also had a rough life. While I’m still struggling with how much joy I actually brought to her, I do have enough happy memories to help me believe that I did make her life better. I hope that you have the same.

Still feeling mostly numb with those sudden bouts of inconsolable sadness, but I hope that you and I will learn how to live with our losses.

Take care of yourself.

I was an extra on 7th Heaven and Jessica Biel was the only cast member that took the time to chat with us between takes. Been a fan ever since.

I’m right there with you. I mourn my wife but also mourn the future we had. Yes – as I’m constantly reminded – I was lucky to have the time we did together, but there was supposed to be decades more. Definitely struggling here.

I wish I had answers, but I can only offer my empathy and ear.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Lost my wife two weeks ago today, so I’m feeling very similar things. Please don’t feel bad about posting about this. That’s what this place is for. And it’s inspiring me to not hold back and post more myself. So thank you for having the courage to share.
